It is so misleading and inaccurate that he portrayed himself that he speaks up for ANY "wrongs" done by anybody in this world... A question was then posed to him on why he did not raise the issue with Pakistan on how their minorities were being treated and what was his answer??? The epitome of selectivity and hypocrisy.

Just for the record, he’s speaking NOT ON BEHALF OF MALAYSIAN and purely his own personal opinion. This current obsession with Kashmir is nothing but for a political motivation for him. He’s playing again the issue as a last straw to revived his political career which is currently down the drain, waiting to be washed away. Malaysian has enough problem on their plates right now with the outbreak, thousands lost their jobs and scrapping by for tomorrow. We don’t even have the time to be busybody with issues like Kashmir. WION shouldn’t wasting time with Mahathir and if they really want to get Malaysia views on India, they should’ve interviewed our Foreign Affair Minister. For WION to interview this guy on Malaysia view is like our TV interviewing Rahul to get view of India.

In Malaysia, the minorities are not treated equally well, because the Malays and even government leaders talk of Malay superiority and special privileges and tell the non Malays to go back ‘home’ if they are not happy. There is institutionalised racism in Malaysia. Regarding the Muslims meeting to discuss the problems they face, the biggest question that they must ask themselves is “why are the rest of the world having Islamophobia? Why is it in us or our religion that makes others afraid of us? How can we learn to coexist with non Muslims? Why is there no Christian phobia, or Buddhist phobia or Hindu phobia?”
