You made it through a LOT recently, and kept your head above water! Very impressive! I hope you had a BLAST at the retreat. It's on my diamond painting bucket list. I don't have kids, but I can happily report that I made it through the perimenopause-menopause brain fog. It got better. What I thought was weird was that I got PMS monthly for a full year after Aunt Flo stopped visiting..

I hope you get to go to a diamond painting event! It is definitely worth it. It was a challenge for me, but worth it. I met some great people. Thanks for sharing some of your midlife experiences. It’s helpful hearing from other women.

My favorite book series to read as a kid was little house on the prairie and Nancy drew series. I loved reading when I was young (and still do) a couple of years ago I bought the little house series off of eBay ❤

Those were two of my favorites as well! My kids still loved the Little House books, but Nancy Drew was a hard sell. LOL

I hope you have a great time at the retreat! I understand your anxiety. My favorite book series as a kid were Hank the Cowdog and Geronimo Stilton. They were the first chapter books i was able to read. We could get the audio for Hank the cowdog which made the books so much fun.

I am not familiar with Hank the Cowdog! But Geronimo Stilton is great.

OMG!! Thank you so much!! I’m so excited!! Gosh this picture you are working on is gorgeous!!! I need to find this 1! I didn’t grow up in a home that did any form of reading, I don’t even remember my mom reading to me as a child but I did love to read the book about Hellen Keller and I read it many many times. And if I ever found another form of her book I read that as well.

You are so welcome! I will mail it when I return. Being a big reader, it sorta breaks my heart you grew up in a home with no books. But I do realize that people turn into fine adults even if they are not big readers. But I still love my books. 😊

Have a great time at the retreat. I do understand your anxiety about it, how can you not have fun diamond painting though. Sounds awesome. When I was a kid, my favorite book series to read was The Boxcar Children although when I was a little older, I loved the Nancy Drew Series. I was just going to say to go to a Michael's when you are in Ohio for the retreat.

Too funny! You listed one of my absolute least favorites and one of my most favorites! I could not stand The Boxcar Children but I absolutely loved Nancy Drew.
