Part of "My Little Rock Band!", a game-modding project aiming to bring pony-related music to Rock Band 3.
(I'm currently in New York City for BronyCon and do not have access to an Xbox for testing and recording. Therefore, I am uploading a REAPER preview video for now. I will reupload a proper video once I return to California.)

This took a lot longer than I expected to chart, simply because it was a teensy bit difficult to discern the audio from the rest of the track, even with the BGM track I pulled from the 5.1's of the EqG Blu-Ray. That, and I was running around the east coast for the first time in my life while also trying to juggle stuff for work. (No, I don't think I'll ever get a proper vacation. T^T)
My favorite part of authoring this, by far, was getting creative with the venue track; I had a lot of fun designing the lighting and animations for this one, though at the moment I'm kind of authoring the venue blind, since I don't have access to an Xbox to play it for myself. Hopefully it looks as good to you as it does in my head!

If you're curious about how to get brony music into Rock Band 3 for Xbox 360, follow this guide:

The process is actually quite easy, and all you really need is a flash drive (or two) and a physical copy of Rock Band 3. It's also not illegal, and won't get you banned from Xbox Live or your console bricked. =)
Sorry, no support for PS3 or Wii.

Yeah, that makes sense. I also just checked with Mississipi Queen from RB1, the cowbells are charted to both vocal percussions and drums, so it's been done before. Alright, I'll make the change. Also gonna chart Rarity's cup hits to the ride cymbal. Thanks for the tip!

Yep, that's what I do. There's a bunch of people (check out Linos Melendi, LyokoFreaks69, TrotPilgrim, and TheDeadPlayers) who put pony music into RB as a hobby; I'm just one of them. No, these aren't buyable for copyright reasons, but they can be downloaded and installed into your game. Check the description for more details. The software used is a Digital Audio Workstation called REAPER that's been specifically modified to assist with the process. I'll post a Behind-The-Scenes vid soon.

My suggestion would be to check Craigslist for instruments. You can get them much cheaper used from random people who just wanna get rid of the instruments cluttering their living rooms and closets.

Usually it would be a bit against the rules, but not for vocal percussion and it's one of those things that you can sometimes get away with in customs without multiple stems anyways for the sake of fun. Hell, Harmonix charted the claps and stomps to all instruments in We Will Rock You, so even in a official release you could have gotten away with it easily if you had the correct stems to make it work =P

Well you should totally try to make it to one of the many meetups that have people bringing Rock Band 3 to the table, i've been to a couple and we bring all the instruments and we all play together! I own all the instruments myself xD

Was thinking about those claps, actually wanted your opinion. I have them charted as vocal percussion hits right now. If I gave it snares as well, would that be considered a violation of RBN standards? Like, mapping a single part to multiple instruments or something like that?

Now that I'm home, I can test this damn thing! Tons of bug fixes incoming for a v3: 1. Beginning keys sections will be changed into proper RB3-style glissandos 2. Fixed lipsync errors. Had to record myself singing the song to get proper lipsync. PLEASE DON'T EXTRACT THE DRYVOX. >< 3. Changing some of the musician's moods. Weird to see Pinkie "OMGROCKOUTHARDCORE" during the slower parts of the song. 4. Additional venue fixes. 5. Fixing some really weird lyric screwups in Harmony 2 and 3.

Okay I got another chart feedback, in the verses when you have authored the muted strums as 2-note chords and ringing strums as 3-note chords you should make the muted ones into single notes to go with the Rock Band Network charting rules I think, it looks a tad awkward as it is now. Other than that and possibly putting the claps to snare it looks pretty good though

I don't know if it's because of any errors on my end, but for some reason, the entire song is really quiet for me. Sure, this could be to some degree rectified by simply turning up the volume, but the thing is that all the game audio completely drowns out the song. Sounds from gaining stars, overdrive, or free drumming is many times louder than the actual song. ... Other than that, it was tons of fun to play. Thanks for making and sharing the chart.

Hello. This isn't relevant to this specific video, but I figured you would be more likely to see this here than elsewhere. I saw your video of Luna (Alex S. Remix) which was uploaded in September 2012 and I was wondering if you plan on releasing it or if it's cancelled or something. Great work by the way, I can't wait to get a flash drive so I can try out some of the songs you and the others made.
