I used to be a quilter and with my ms my right hand is weak and cutting out quilt pieces became very difficult. My daughter in law wanted to join the prayer shawl group at church. Even though I haven’t crochet since I was 10 . I found friends on you tube to follow tutorials so crochet is my back up craft. I’m blessed that even though I’m disabled I never let that stop me. I’m blessed with my crochet. I’m blessed to be content with my life

Hi Kayla, I had a co-worker, that colored for therapy before it was a thing. She really enjoyed it. I am glad you found another option you can do besides crochet to continue your KZfaq journey. As I said before, anything you do people will watch. I do not care if it’s crochet, art, or dolls. Listening to you is relaxing. Thank you! I am Thankful for:…My job, crochet, and movies. If you do not know, libraries offer audio books. You check them in and out on your phone.

I found you while searching on KZfaq for newborn baby hats to crochet.. I do this for my local hospital nursery. While searching, crafter channels started popping up. (I didn't know that they existed.) And yours was the first and I was hooked. I've followed ever since. I do so enjoy your chats. I'm blessed in many ways, from the simple to the complex. Im blessed with: A warped sense of humor A stubborn Swedish/German attitude The comfort of crochet On another note, I also have multiple health issues. 10 years ago, when everything hit the fan, Lupus shut down my kidneys, landing me in intensive care for a week and hospitalized for 3 more. I was there for my 60th birthday and my daughter's wedding. I then went through dialysis 6 months, chemotherapy every 2 months for 2 years, and endless doctor appointments. I sympathize with you on the chemo infusions. My first several rounds were cytoxin, then rituximab. My hair thinned out like yours. It's nowhere near where it was, but it eventually leveled out. Im currently on oral immo-supressent drugs and a couple of months away from my 70th birthday. Ans I'm truly thankful for that....most days! 😅

I am blessed to be alive (survived the 70's and a drug addiction, clean and sober for 45 years) and having an awesome Savior to always talk to, I am blessed to be able to crochet and make things that put a smile on someones face, I am blessed to being able to retire comfortably and still being able to supply myself in an excessive amount of yarn, lol. Also I have been blessed to find KZfaq videos that raise my spirits and encourage me to be a better person. God bless, be safe and get well♥

Hi Kayla, in my early 20s i had an injury that didn’t allow me to use my right hand. I was basically disabled until i was 28. Every time I have a new aliment happen, and there have been MANY throughout the years. I always remember how i felt getting through that part of my life and just know i will get through whatever comes next. And through most of my life i had to do it alone. I have since found the most wonderful man who helps me get through every new thing that happens and keeps me grounded. He encourages me to to continue doing my arts, because he knows that is my happy place💞. At this point I don’t know what I would do without him. I also have my Brother and Sister and some really great friends who get me through. My Daughter is being cared for beyond my wildest dreams. I too can’t count all of my blessings 🙏💞🙏,Blessed to be able to recreate myself, understand I’m ok, being able to to have my animals.

Hi Mama Kayla. You are very inspiring to me. I just got out of the hospital for Covid 19 & pneumonitis, in which the lining around the lungs get infected. I’m taking a strong steroid everyday for 9 days. I don’t complain when I hear what you go through. Right now I’m watching you & crocheting. I’m blessed by allot of things. God has sent the wild turkeys to me since I came home from the hosp & all the little critters & birds that I love watching. God bless you dear & keep feeling blessed. ❤🙏

My big accomplishments for the day was getting the trash out to the road & returned books to the library. Now I'm doing some frogging on some fluffy yarn that doesn't want to be frogged! Most grateful for my kitty, my room of yarn and popcorn! Yes I've done library things-- made bath bombs, a monthly mark on calendar, listened to an author.

Hi Kayla, I have been so inspired by your videos! I never realized how relaxing it is to color until I did it with my daughter. I can definitely see a side hobby developing. I hope the doctor visits go well and the infusion side effects are minimal. My 3 things I am thankful for 1) Car rides because I make my best memories with my girls even if it's just a trip to the dollar store. 2) My dogs (I hope they don't count as people 😂) because they just have a way of making you feel loved and are always happy. 3) Coffee because I swear I don't think I'd make it through the day without my caffeine! I think it's you, and not your content that I enjoy the most. I feel like I am listening and talking to a good friend. I enjoy your life and hearing your ups and downs in life. Because Lord knows we all have issues. I have too been on a coloring kick, as I've said I have to have something another hobby during the summer months, because I live in Texas and don't really feel like crocheting in the summer. I watched your whole video, with a few pauses here and there. I love to do my creative thing while listening to you chat about life. With friends in person, I crave to have those serious chats about feelings and life. 😉 Re: my local library: The ones in my area don’t have NEARLY the amount of programs that yours have. They have a couple story time group sessions for toddlers and Mommies, one or two book discussion groups and sometimes a general crafting class that does something different each month. There are no yarny groups. 😟 Re: 3 blessings in life 1. A house to live in 2. Two vehicles so that my husband and I both have wheels 3. Food a plenty I’m working on my 2nd granny square Bo-ho sling purse. I haven’t even finished my first one and I was too excited to start the 2nd one…..😉🤣🤣 I’m here for your videos, Kayla and Big Daddy. The 3 things I am grateful for are, 1. ☕ coffee 2. When I feel ok to be able to work in the yard in the Summer. I love being outdoors, I hope that we have hot weather this year. We usually have cooler weather here. 3. Making crochet amigurumi, that is my favorite thing to make. I miss having a fur baby. I really enjoy your stories. Beautiful coloring love your picture. Yes, I go to crochet / knitting class every Wednesday its from 10 to 11:30, we sometimes stay till 12. Its on the first floor in the Front room. I love sitting so I can look out the big windows. I enjoy all your podcasts. While you color I knit. When my sister and I were younger (much younger) we played paper dolls for hours. We would color sheets of paper and give them to each other and then us that paper to design and cut out clothes Our favorite paper doll was Katy Keene. Due to many moves (dad was in the army) I’ve lost all of those paper dolls 😥💕in ohio

I'm working on JTYA' s "genesis shawl" it's my first wearable besides hats. It's challenging for me! But I'm on the last section🎉 i love to garden, play with my birds, and definitely crochet! I'm blessed to live in Canada, because I have MS and healthcare and médication is free. So important because I cannot work ans my husband died. So I don't have to worry AT all. I'm blessed because I have the best cat in the world ! My best Friend , he's always with me when I'm in pain. I'm blessed because I réalised my Biggest dream, which was to live in Egypt before I had MS. So I could really enjoyed IT. Finally I'm blessed because I Found your channel and you give me a lot of courage and hope ! Love you Kayla.
