Hi Juan, what a great concept of crocheting along with a friend. I am 74 years old and suffer from social anxiety. Crocheting for charities is my therapy. I generally have four blankets going at once for Projects Linus who distributes blankets to the children hospital here in Charleston SC. I also crochet granny squares to keep my stash in check. I donate the squares to Project Chemo. It is such a pleasure to crochet along with a friend. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Hi Great video, I never miss any of your videos. I have a tip for you as baby Knitter, LOL Since you are a right had Knitter, rest the right knitting needle on the top of your thigh them insert it into the stitch on the left needle and crochet the entire row with the right needle resting on your leg, When I was a baby knitter I had a hard time using two needles so resting it on my leg made it not so loose and woobly, Give it a try, Juan, I think it will help. I find it interesting that you are a right handed knitter but a left handed crocheter. I am the opposite. Knit with left, crochet with right. Silly how that works! My WIP-ing project is a C2C blanket using a 5mm hook. The goal is to make it twin sized. Seems to be taking a while. So thanks for being my crochet buddy!

Loved this Juan especially your colour pallets. I am hopeless. I have now ordered a colour wheel. I always miss your lives as I live in Wales and can never work out the timing. I love your birthday blanket. Hopefully learning about colours will inspire me to make a blanket with variegated yarn. Thank you so much for all the work you do for the crochet community. With regards to knitting, if you drop a stitch and you can see it, grab a crochet hook get hold of the stitch and slip stitch back up. Don’t think i am explaining it properly😅. Keep at it you are doing so well. I am a knitter but due to arthritis have changed to crochet, I cant believe it has been a year since I started. I haven’t progressed much I am fine with blankets, beanies and scarves but not great with wearables. I am currently doing quite well with a cardigan from Ophelia Talks. It is such a beautiful pattern, I urge everyone to check it out on her website or on Ravelry. Regarding the variegated cake you showed near the end, perhaps it’s the way the colors were showing up on camera, but I was thinking one of your gold skeins or muted orange/pumpkin skeins would go well with it. I wasn’t feeling the purple, but again, I realize that it’s possible that our view wasn’t showing the true hues in the cake. But as we all know, all of us have our own likes and dislikes. Finished a skirt, working in a top for my 9 year old granddaughter for back to school clothes. She loves wearing my makes, picks the yarn she wants, and then tells me what she wants. When we have a girls' day out and ask her what she wants to do, the first words out of her mouth are "go yarn shopping."

If you knit with one hand and crochet with the other it's a good thing, when you change projects you can change hands, and give your muscles a break. I crochet with a pencil hold, but can do knife hold, just prefer pencit hold, just depends on what hook I am using. I generally knit continental but learned from an American book but continental seems faster

17:28 yes, when I work my full time day job I feel like something is missing, and I am unhappy. But when I crochet, I feel so complete and calm like this is what I am suppose to do. It is a very calming sensation. Its subtle but it's there.

I love variegated yarns. I am currently working with two skeins of very bright colors from a mystery box and have paired it with purple. I’m using the alpine stitch and it is beautiful.

I am working on finishing a sweater today. I made a medium and now know it will be to big. I should have made a small. But it's for the house.😅 So I will enjoy it anyway or I may donate it this coming holiday season.

Hello Juan...I Love The Yarn...I bought a skein for $2 about 3 years ago from Salvation Army...I made a hat...it was the first yarn I bought out of my comfort zone...my favorite color is also purple... followed by turquoise then black...I LOVE THE WAY THE BLANKET LOOKS SO FAR!!!

My late mother majored in art in college, and she had a real gift for color. I don’t think she studied color theory, but she did do “Color Me Beautiful” in the 80’s, which analyzed what colors one should wear based on one’s skin and hair colors. I still mainly dress in the colors she suggested, because her color sense was right!

Hi Juan, I'm working on a knitted tank top for my daughter.

I work on 7” x 9” rectangles for WUA ( warm, up America). Now that i have a great yarn winder ( TY Juan) I can make cakes to do those swatches. Great yarn buster. WUA loves getting the scrap yarn rectangles Perfect match I came up with a C2C rectangle for the swatches. They are a great organization
