I absolutely love the way you teach. Thank you so much for teaching me how to do this. PS could you please leave off the music when you’re teaching some thing because some of us are hard of hearing and the music is distracting. I truly appreciate everything that you teach thank you.

I love this! I started working with stained glass a couple years ago. The fellow who taught my friend and I died 1-1/2 years ago. I recently made my first stained glass window 71 inches by 17 inches width. I dint know if I could really do it, but I did and it turned out BEAUTIFULLY! I watched several of your videos and they encouraged me so much, ! Thank you!

We started with stained glass (we call this Tiffany) a few months ago and of course we're still learning. These videos are great, the tips we can use immediately. I do wonder about the iron, I noticed you use a 'iron tip' formed like a screwdriver. I know there are different ones but when do you use the one and when the other or is it just a matter of preference?
@lindalombardo3309 Жыл бұрын
I really do not have a preference in solder tip size, the one used in this video is 3/8" which comes with the Weller. I have purchased smaller tips and find they work well when doing certain decorative soldering techniques. The smaller tip has a higher temp that the larger one which I then use a Rheostat to lower the temp.

Since solder is such a soft and delicate material, would it be worth coating copper wire in solder for the more delicate parts?
@lindalombardo3309 Жыл бұрын
Hi Hunter, yes you could coat the wire to make it stronger, for this example that wasn't necessary

The metal for the antennas, is it 60/40? I’m trying to do small wire details and having issues with .6mm 60/40 melting and I don’t know what kind of metal to use that sticks, is easy to make into shapes that I don’t have to wrap impossibly small foil onto to try and make stay.

We have verified audio levels on various platforms and asked for input from others as well but find no significant issues with volume so we have determined it to be acceptable. Sorry it’s a problem for you. You may want to view it on different devices to shed more light on it.

What kind of flux do you use?
@jalimager3 жыл бұрын
We use Classic 100 gel flux. It comes in a 4oz bottle. We sell it for $8.70 each. I will add it to the “Hot Deals” section of our website. We are building a stained glass supply section coming soon. Thanks for visiting our KZfaq channel.
