Wire Wrapping Tutorial - Asymmetrical Crystal Post Earrings

Asymmetrical earrings! Similar to each other, but each unique. In this tutorial, I will show you how to use "snap-tite" settings in wire wrapping to create 2 different earrings that go well with each other, or use it to create 2 totally different pairs of earring! The choice is yours!
For this project you will need:
20g wire - 12 inches
26g wire - 8 inches
28g wire - 2 feet
2- 4mm snap-tite settings
2- 6mm snap-tite post earring s
2 - 4mm swarovski crystal chatons
2 - 6mm swarovski crystal chatons
2- 11x5.5mm swrovski drops
1- 4mm swarovski round or bicone bead
3 - 2mm round sterling beads

I don't know how I JUST found you, but I wouldn't have considered wire wrapping in jewelry making. I suppose it just didn't cross my mind until I saw it! xD But I'm so glad I did find you. I would love to try to do some of these and eventually create my own jewelry!!

I prefer to dip in Liver of Sulfur! That way if I don't like it, I can remove it with a tarnish remover later.

I found some on etsy, and some on rio grande. Just look under settings, and kind of narrow it down. They have more options than what shows up in search.

Your designs are beautiful. Do you plan it out before creating it, or do you wrong it while doing it?

Kind of both! I try to have a "basic" idea of what I would like my finished piece to look like, but then I let the wire tell me where it wants to go while I am wrapping, because sometimes it is stubborn!

What kind of wire do you use? It is not sterling silver, I think, but the artistic thread I use is impossible to work with the torch because the fire melts the wire by consuming it or exposing the internal copper....

I use sterling silver and fine silver wire. If you are using artistic wire, (which is copper, plated in silver, and then anti-tarnish nylon) you could make little swirls or spirals on the ends instead.

I have spools and spools of wire but stopped creating anything after making some beaded giraffes and such. You've inspired me to get back to it! I love listening to the live baby sounds while you're designing - makes you and your art more real, not a sterilized environment. The music on the other hand, not so much, borderline irritating {sorry). How 'bout some background Elvis mood music 👶 🌸🤷🤔

I have never heard it pronounced that way, hmm. I guess maybe it just depends on where you are from, and who teaches teaches you, on how you would pronounce things. Everyone around here says Culet like "kew-let"
