I mean, that’s a little bit of an exaggeration. My car is paid off and I’m not about to add on a car payment per month when my car drives fine and takes me from a to B. However, when I did have a rental car, it did have Apple CarPlay and I loved having that feature. But the reality is, I am probably not buying a new car soon, so this is a much cheaper alternative.

The thing is these portable carplays they are very weak in terms of sistem compared to a 2 din or 1 din , you pay you get the same sistem for almost half the price but you have to imbute them

Sorry for the late response. They have a mirroring functionality. I’ve only been able to figure it out using my iPhone not my android, and this feature is separate than using the CarPlay or android auto feature. You connect via Bluetooth for the CarPlay mode, you connect through, the devices Internet if you want to mirror your screen or with an android you can plug your phone directly into the device as well however, you have to download some app in the Google play store which again I have not played around with her figured it out yet. It sounds complicated but it’s clearly spelled out in the user manual. If you need more help or if you have more questions, let me know.

It depends how you connect it and your car’s capabilities. My car has AUX port so I was able to plug the device into my cars AUX port, and play the music through my car’s speakers.

So I’ve only been able to figure the mirroring feature out with an iPhone not android. And yes, you connect your iPhone to the Internet on the device (when you click on iplay) and it gives you the password. However, if you do not do this step, this will not work - if you have already connected it to CarPlay via Bluetooth, you need to make sure you disconnect that first before trying to mirror your iPhone and before connecting it to the Wi-Fi on the unit. I hope that made sense if not, let me know.

@lloomzy Mine is connected via AUX which IMO is the best way. You can have audio playback through your car speakers using the built-in speaker, AUX, Bluetooth , or FM transfer function. If you have an aux port- I recommend using that. The other options work good too, except using the actual carpuride's built in speaker- it most likely is not better audio quality than your car speakers.

You have to first disconnect it from the CarPlay. And then you have to connect it to the Internet not the Bluetooth.

I agree with the mirroring feature. I think this feature would be or should only be used if you are waiting in a parking lot or in front of someone’s house or anywhere etc. and your car is parked and you have multiple people in the car and you want to watch something on the screen. To drive with the mirroring feature on would be highly dangerous and you should not do that.

Yes, on the unit itself it does have a USB port to plug in your phone. It is not a USB-C but a regular USB port I never use it however

Yes the Carpuride screens have a small censor on the back of the screen to up the brightness or lower it. You can set the brightness manually but also automatic. My screen is lowering in tunnels, under bridges etc. And getting brighter if there comes more light on the censor😁

Based on what I have learned, the manufacturer is a small company, and their factory does not meet international standards. Additionally, they do not have an independent R&D team and rely on external help for some software issues. These are my observations, and I hope this provides some context for my comment.
