Marty, it is showing a 2.4 GHZ Wireless, which is common amongst Wireless systems Cordless home phones for those of us who still have one (MY wife has a home office so we need a landline) and my WiFi Mesh has a 2.4GHZ channel. Do you notice any interference with other wireless components running the same frequency? What about Latency? I couldn't really tell a difference but you were also playing with a little bit of delay on your riffs so I couldn't give a "fair judgement" I had a wireless system I loved the freedom but it killed my tone, even with my lows cranked it really watered them out. it sounded like I was playing out of a tin can. Ditched it. and stuck with cords. But one less thing to trip on,

so theres np delay then that's badass. I have a wireless set up for my tv/ stereo and theres a bit of a delay wich would make me weary of buying something like this ,so thanks for sharing

Hey Marty, thanks for the vid, I’ve had this system for about 6 months, it’s excellent, gigged with it lots of times, no problems. Bass player in my band has the same system, no conflicts or other issues, good battery life etc. I had a smooth hound system before and the xvive is just miles better.

I can do it with my Strat by hooking my finger near the arm. Harder to do with my Paul. Too heavy and not comfortable enough grip. I do it just not too long. My bass is even heavier but got good grip for some reason. I got great straps for every one of them just don't keep straps on all the time. Also have 2 different kinds of wireless systems AKG wireless bug, and Getaria rechargeable system. That's my IEM system. But at home I use whichever is easier at time.

You might actually like the Keyztone Exchanger. It’s a guitar pedal that can simulate different guitar pickup sounds from single coils to humbuckers, rockabilly pickups, and p90s. Basically, if you want your Strat to sound like a Les Paul or vice versa, this amp allows you to do so. You will never have to worry about buying another new guitar again.

Be advised that these are not designed for use with active pickups. I just got mine and it causes a hum out of my amp. I've heard on internet that a small cable in between guitar and unit may help, but not for sure. Other than this issue, it seems to work great.

Iv had a pair of them for a while now, they are fucking amazing, iv had 2 normal wireless systems in the past and i wont be going back to them again. If you buy more Xvive's you can connect more than one transmitter to the same receiver (theres a button on them for changing channels) , so you can have 2 or 3 guitars playing through one amp etc. The battery lasts a good while and you charge them up by usb. Iv got a Digitech Trio+ on my coffee table with a guitar lead going to my guitar and have my Xvive transmitter in the Trio's out and the receiver in my amp, saves having guitar leads draped over the floor. haha

Always enjoy Marty's enthusiasm and knowledge. Nice road worn Stratocaster! I can't decide between THIS or the Carvin WG5 Wireless Guitar/Bass System I saw this morning, too. They seem very similar, both in price and features. I worried when you went into the bathroom 'cuz it reminded me of a 'Naked Gun' scene where Leslie Nielsen had a wireless mic in the bathroom that broadcast into a luncheon or dinner hall. Priceless !

Could you still plug this in to the front of an amp, but with all the pedals plugged into the effects loop? OR even better, could you get 2 more sets and plug the transmitter to the send of an effects loop, then the receiver to your first pedal in the chain, then take another set, put the transmitter in the end of your chain and the receiver to the return of an effects loop? Giving you a completely wireless rig? OR EVEN BETTER, JUST TURN ALL THE PATCH CABLES IN TO TRANSMITTERS AND RECEIVERS!?!? Ok, that last one was ridiculous... but I’m still generally curious about the last two, lol.

So I got this same XVive wireless , I love it EXCEPT if I’m playing along to a song on KZfaq or an online lesson, it interferes with my WiFi! My streaming will stop until I turn off the wireless. My Sweetwater guy says that is common with most wireless. So be aware,

evan hunter I did do that on the advice of Sweetwater and there is one channel out of the four that’s ok. Any band using theses on stage and using an iPad should be aware because if more than one musician is using the system on different channels, one of them, might mess with the WiFi.

Love my Shure BL4 wireless system. I love wireless, I'm untethered. Not a big fan of the warts that plug in to the jacks, vs. the short chord into the jack like the traditional wireless setup. But the warts sound good and that's what really matters.

Buy one, it just works and there is a special joy when you're first wireless. I keep looking down at my feet or the chair wheels expecting to be caught up and I'm not. Do not underestimate the giddiness this causes, I am grinning like a kid on Christmas day who just got a big box of Lego and a bike. Anyone who has a damned thing bad to say about it is an attention seeking misery pants and should be ignored or ridiculed. I have it plugged into my Ketana and Strat and it's made my life better.

Am I crazy or did the wireless demo with the camera view seem fake? The video said “hat cam” but in the reflection of a window at 4:10 shows him walking with the camera in his hands, with no guitar. Idk if the camera view was supposed to show his view of where we was going, but it seems highly unlikely that the footage is real time of him playing while walking around. Maybe I’m crazy haha, but just what I saw. Also I don’t doubt the capabilities of the gear, but it feels like it was faked for promotion or smth

Yes they work. BUT you can NOT replace the batteries when they fail, so may end up expensive. If you forget to charge them fully before a gig then you cannot put in a pair of AAA batteries like the old style ones, so you will have to revert to a guitar lead. Battery life will deteriorate over time reducing playing time. They also work on Bluetooth wi-fi frequency and may be overpowered by other signals or you mobile phone signal may be lost. They are reasonably noisy with 50/60 cycle hum as they are not shielded. You pay your money but they are not the best system out there.

Hi Marty. Nice to see you again. I was following you from the beginning, at the time I wanted to Lear the guitar, and I was watching your tutorials, that was good few years a go, since I haven’t touched a guitar, I thought was little to hard for me, especially at my age. I still haven’t got a clue about reading music, can’t sing, the only thing I have in me expression. I wish I could do express my feelings with sound and the guitar is the tool. Like I said I’m a beginner. I sold my old guitar and I’m so upset about it because was a very nice guitar. “ Fernandez “ can’t remember the model but sounded and looked a million dollars. And now for something not as nice looking I need almost a 1000 dollar. Anyway this time I’m starting with a cheap fender strat. I will sub again and thanks for your tutorials, I liked your video from day 1 and I still do, and you still wearing a hat. Good luck to you and lots to me 🤘

Buy a Squire electric second hand. It will keep it's value so you're not risking anything, tell your mum I said that. Cheap acoustics value is zero the day you walk out of the shop with it, also the action (the gap between the strings and the fret) is higher so it's actually much harder to play. Buy a Squire for about $90.00, if you don't stick with guitar, sell it for $90.00. (Got that mum?) There's dozens of cheap interfaces for all manner of phones and also loads of free apps to give you the effects you need. Good luck young axeman, stick with it and choose your axe heroes well and not just form one genre either.
