This is one of the BEST, NO-NONSENSE, PRECISE, COMPREHENSIVE and absolutely GENUINE explanation I've heard about wireless microphone systems. I'm watching this in 2021 and it feels like the information, the education, the tips shared in this video will hold true in 2050 and beyond. Appreciate it very much Mr. Mike Turner; you're a true pro. Thank you and God Bless.

Hello Mike, I have a Boly four channels professional uhf lavalier tie clip microphone cordless system that my team is using for a novice talk show, but after the first taping I discovered the audio is being clipped at the beginning and ending of a spoken sentence. There is also some echo coming in that I’d like to prevent. I am new at this - how can I address these 2 issues? Leo

First I want to say, excellent video. It's very informative and I learned a few things. Now, what I'd like to know is: on a UHF mic system, I have an RF meter on the display of each receiver. What does it mean, how do I want it to read, and how do I get it there? Seems important since they put it on the display. They did not send documentation, or it was literally in Chinese, as it relates to this matter. Help!

Hey bud. I was just in need of a quick mic set up for a sweet 16 I have to DJ for. I came across a sale where I got a Gemini UHF-6200m dual wireless mic setup. I can't seem to find alot of reviews on it or anything but from the handful that I did see it sounds good. I know the name Gemini scares a lot of people but I got it for $120 so I couldn't resist. Please let me know if you know anything or can do a review on this mic. Thanks!

Great video !!! I have a question about the FCC policy about the wireless microphone. Wireless microphones that operate in the 600 MHz service band (the 617-652 MHz and 663-698 MHz frequencies) will be required to cease operation sort by no later than July 13, 2020. www.fcc.gov/wireless/bureau-divisions/mobility-division/wireless-microphones which frequency I can use after July 13, 2020?

Thank you for this great explanation. You really straightened out some of my thoughts. Now, having been a Sennheiser man for many years, I have chosen to look in another direction for my karaoke system, mainly because I don't want the general public trashing my Sennheisers. Vocopro UHF 8800. Do you have an opinion on this particular product?

@riverrat7797
@riverrat7797 10 жыл бұрын
Hi Angela, Answering your questions is difficult because the best "sound" is always subjective to the opinion of the listener. But Ill give it my best shot. From my personal experience, some of the most commonly and professionally used mics are the Shure SM58 and the Beta58A. I could go into a long drawn out explanation of why, but Im gonna say I would suggest the Beta58A. Its going to have lower handling noise(thuds from changing hands and such), it will still capture your voice well when you pull the mic away when "belting" it out, and in my opinion it has a bright, yet full tone.

I am not a professional singer or do anything professionally, but how do I avoid the receiver picking up voice from other wireless system other than my own microphone?
@jouebien
@jouebien 10 жыл бұрын
The only thing I would add is that: Its a good Idea to check what frequency systems are able to use before purchase. So that you avoid interference and what frequencies are illegal to operate on in you local area. Ie UHF mikes that operate at the 700mhz-800mhz are being banned in Australia as digital TV and 4G are going to be using that spectrum in 2015.

In Australia as from January, we cannot use wireless mics in the 694 - 820 Mhz range. Can't remember where the frequency we can use starts at the bottom up to 694 megs.

XLR cable is actually a Balance audio signal. It has 3 small cables in 1 XLR cable. Balance means less noise, so it is highly recommended to use for the professional audio.
