Great tutorial. I have a very similar piece that was gifted by my father and wanted to be able to wear it but also wanted to complete the wiring myself. My father was a metal worker, grandfather a jeweller and they would always make fine delicate animals for me as they knew that’s what I loved. Now I feel confident enough to finally finish this in his honour. Much gratitude 🙏🏻😊

Just a thought, the wrapping wire in the back of the bail, once you do the final wrap, you dont need it anymore.! You can cut that off and make the design even sleeker. This is a 5 Star winner.

That is the most beautiful pendant I have ever seen! The design is so minimalistic, clean and classic, and best of all: it enhances the stone, it doesn’t compete with it as many patterns do. If I should give one point for you to think about, it is how the pendant will hang around your neck. As the backside is not flat, it will probably hang flipped downwards or upwards. For the light to catch the shimmer in the stone and for others to see it, you need a flat backside on the pendant. I know that pendants that don’t hang right are seldom or never used. I have both bought some and made some that just sits weirdly on my neck. Thank you for showing us this beautiful design, you are so talented!

Thank you for your thorough demonstration. You explained in simple terms the process. Also, you showed a close-up view and kept your project in the frame of your camera. Too many videos wonder off and I couldn’t see the entire process. A friend gave me a large lapis lazuli and I haven’t been able to figure out how to set it, even though I’ve made jewelry before. I may end up drilling the stone, but you made it so simple, I am now considering your method. I look forward to more.
