As someone who studies music theory, “Kacky With the Boys Tonight” is actually a true masterpiece of music. To the untrained ear, it may seem like a mess of off-key and offbeat lyrics over some basic chords, but the use of microtonalities and irregular time signatures truly elevates the song to another level.
