I don't know what exactly it is, but something about the design of 21 is just amazing. Without driving it, this has to be one of the most visually pleasing maps I've seen so far.

I don't really play Trackmania but I love watching it.. this campaign was way more fun to watch, super varied.

I don't have a lot of experience in the game but Map 15 is so incredibly difficult because of that super evil turn after the reactor, and I'm glad that Wirtual agrees that it's a difficult map.

Console player here that started playing just a few days after it came out on console. For some reason map 20 in this campaign really clicked with me, despite being pretty trolly, and after just a couple hours of playing managed to get a 33.265, which at the time was 119th world. Being as new to the game as I am I have never felt so proud lmao, especially considering I'd never even broken top 2000 world before that map

as a very, very low skilled player, i think the first 10 maps are nice. sadly, i will likely never get to play the other maps since i will not get the required medals to unlock them. they look very nice though. i get that the unlock system is there to encourage players to grind the first maps, and it is definitely a me-issue, the system itself is good i think. i like this campaign a lot more than the spring campaign.

Btw thank you Wirtual for being so educational on what you're doing in the runs. Thanks to your commentary on your actions I got my first AT in the game today. It was on 01 and I'm grinding for 02 but I'm very satisfied rn

Im still new to TM and have only played the white and green maps and like 2 blues but i love how the ATs on the white and green maps are challenging but not crazy hard for newer players the past few felt a little to easy while the blue and above felt a bit out of my skill range very fun

I'm quite a bad driver on trackmania, but this is the best campaign so far imo. A part from 04 and 08, every other map was quite enjoyable, and it got super hard for me on red and black

Map 21 is my favorite of this campaign. The aesthetic is the best and it just flows so well.

one thing that always seemed a little weird to me is the author times being hidden. I'm way more motivated to keep playing if l know l'm only .010 away from AT and at the same time i'd hate it if l was grinding a map thinking l'm close to AT when in reality l'm a full second or more behind. I sorta get the "mystique" behind hidden ATs but maybe they could implement something where the AT is revealed if you're .100~.300s off. They could add some sort of cool animation for it to make it exciting and to motivate you to keep going. Just a thought.

I really enjoyed this campaign! 21 and 22 are probably going to be the hardest for me to do well on, but I got gold and a few authors on almost everything else besides 25. My first campaign played both on the day of, and blind. I really like the variety here!

I got my first AT on summer 4. Being very noob and only managing bronze on half of last season after i downloaded the game finding wirtuals videos. I'm still very noob, but listening does help!

Good job on the video, both Wirtual and Buckley! Author medals for white maps were actually harder this time than green maps, at least for me. The way the difficulty spikes on map 15 is insane. I gave up on even finishing the map after 13 Authors and one Gold... I genuinely don't know how new players can gen into Trackmania. Still love to watch it though!

I wanted to watch this video after playing through the campaign myself, but I had so much trouble getting gold on 15 I had to watch to see what to do lol. What ultimately helped me was Wirtuals tips and switching to a controller. I've played every racing game other than Trackmania with a controller, cuz I had found for the most part the game favoured precise taps and holds over smooth analog steers imo. But something just clicked this time around

It would be nice to have time stamps for each map. It is amazing how he does it so fast. I struggle with even with some silver medals and am having a hard time unlocking the black section.

I started playing less than a month ago but I love all the tricks that are hard to do and make you go faster. Truly skilled players should have a way to compete with each other in more ways than just good lines.

I do love seeing the chat say "Not enough tech" about 18 while that one quickly turned into ONLY one specific .001 clonk against a ceiling would give you the exact flip you need followed by a sick U turn into another U turn that shortcuts between trees and over a gap.

Just started playing Trackmania yesterday and I'm struggling to get better at the game on my own and I can't seem to get gold on the 7'th map so I searched up this year's Trackmania summer campaign full gold gameplay and I saw this which had piqued my interest. I'm learning while I watch your gameplay. I probably would've given up and come back again just to suffer to get gold but I guess either way, I'm getting better and gaining more knowlegde

As a new player I was able to grind for author medals without much effort until 13. 14 took me more than an hour for AT. 15 forward I'm starting to struggle even with some gold medals, but that's when the fun starts to be honest and you start to learn new tricks. A lot of fun overall!

I have played since console release (but I haven’t played much)and I have got 5 authors and I have played 8 tracks. I am really enjoying this campaign so far

14:38 XD . I had the same reaction (as did Scrapie too XD ). Really enjoyed that map. Like a ski slalom but I cannot for the life of me get that bobsleigh turn right. Always end up spinning a little and having to correct. I should add that I play on PS4 and opt to use the D-pad for steering rather than the analog stick, as I used to play TM Nations on PC and used Keyboard, so the D-pad feels more natural to me. probably why i cant do a lot of the maps though XD.

The curse of #15 is back

I wanna point out, that speedslides actually have some realism to them. In real life, tires actually have more grip, when they are slipping slightly. Optimum slip angel in race cars is usually said to be at around 10 degrees. So speed slides make much more sense than ice wiggles :D

This was my first campaign and I was going for all authors, didn’t have too many issues until 14 and then spent a good few hours on it lol. Called it at the reactor down on 15, I’ll tackle it another day haha

I just bought the game today after watching you every morning for years. I got all golds or authors in training and then started the Summer campaign. My goal is to get gold on each before progressing. Map 15 is insane. I have a 50.21... 49 is unfathomably fast, at least for a new player. I have like a 10% chance of hitting the risky finish, and a much lower chance of getting that far. I dont know how you're able to stay on the track through those snake turns on the rounded terrain before the super fast boost.. Also, ran my first Cup of the Day today. I ranked mid 2,500 (Div 50?).. but continued to improve my time each run. I came in 21st. Crashed into the finish line 😅

Map 15 _was_ pretty hard. Got gold on every track in a few tries and then had to grind that one for almost an hour before I got it I feel so proud of myself for finding the trick on track 24 to go to the right of the palm trees on the downhill on my own :P

seeing you get author time on your second try after grinding for 40 minutes to get it is killing me

Downloaded the game in the beginning of this season. Was sat grinding for the at on 21 for about 6 hours before I got it. This guy gets it in 10 minutes.

The fact that I used to watch Wirtual just for entertainment but now that it’s on console I watch to study him.

I'm not a great player, and I don't have all the time in the world to grind and learn, but it's a goal at least! usually my goal is bronze on all 25, just this time it comes with the caveat of gold on the first 20 too XD Thanks for all the tips! I fully understand that you are easily in the top 100 players of this game but you make this look so damn easy. You make this game look like cooking cereal, and I step in the kitchen thinking it’ll be at least an enjoyable experience and I have to flambé a beef Wellington on a natural flame.

I love that it took people less than a day to get ice wiggles working again on the new physics. I wish they would give up and give us the original ice wiggles, these changes are only making it harder for new players and less fun for streamers and viewers

The unlock thing is such a slap in the face for new players. Started playing like 2 weeks ago, and I have grinded the downhill engine off map for like 2 hours and barely got silver to unlock the red maps. It feels like I have no hope on getting all 20 golds to unlock the black maps.

Played the first 10 maps so far, managed gold on all but 8 plus the free author medal on 4. Still have a lot to learn it seems, but doing better with this than on the spring campaign. I think 7 is my favorite so far.

i got into trackmania 23 winter and i loved it sm, completely stopped all together during the spring because it was so outrageously bad, never had less fun playing something in my life, so happy a new campaign is out

What's new is that you need all bronze to unlock the second tier, all silver (everything) for tier 3 and all gold for tier 4. As well as catching up to popular map tropes, they make you hunt them all down to perfection. I love and hate it at the same time. I struggle to get that difficult map in silver, let alone gold!

A lot of your firsts appear as you've seen them beforehand. Almost, like you had access to them before everyone else. 08 for instance. If you don't know what's ahead, avoiding the big round things is a pita. It appears that you have absolute clairvoyance

Idk if you guys play the game or not but I play often and when you do campaigns it'll give you an average of your rank in state, country, world, etc. and I always get mostly every author time and rank around top 20k in the world. This dude's ability to quickly adapt to a map and get the author times so fast is insane. This campaign's author times are NOT easy either. A good majority aren't too difficult but there's like 10 that I struggled with for over an hour on each. This dude crushed like every single record of mine too besides 13, I was hunting that one and got a pretty nice time(30.448 which is still only #1 in my state, top 200-300 or something very close to that in the U.S.). And yeah, I'm not bragging about that, if he played the map for like 15-30 mins he'd easily beat it, that time took me like an hour and a half(granted, I'm on Xbox and can't use mods that show me my gears or watch world record times). In conclusion, if you don't play and want an opinion on how good he is from someone who's been actively playing for months to a year, he is most definitely like top 100-200 players

the new locked maps thing is frustrating. I know im not good at the game and im not invested in improving as this is a game i casually play here and there so every campaign my rule has been to try for authors on white, Gold on green, silver on blue, bronze on red, and just finish the track on black and then i improve where i can. Usually i end up with 3/5 authors on white, golds through 14 and the rest of the campaign are silvers.

Personally I feel as though things like ice wiggles and perfect speed drifts should not be necessary most of the time for casual players like myself to get the gold medal, but it makes sense to add something nuanced and difficult to master for the pros to show what is really possible in the game. It also gives people more options for hunting maps over time.

As much as I don't enjoy ice, I was hunting 22 for a good number of hours last night. Ended up 1st country, now hunting for 1st continent

Nadeo should introduce map bans into ranked. Where players could select up to a number of maps that won't show up in their ranked games. That would solve the problem with them unable to make difficult maps for the campaign.

the First TM i played was Turbo, when as a pals house back in college, the moment i got a green medal i lost my mind that there was a higher level of medal i could try and work towards... honestly seeing a most of author medals locked behind weird tech means others wont get that experience, and thats a bloody shame. its probably really sick for all the top tier players.... but like, completely unachievable for most everyone
