@BROK We almost got Caleb when Bobby Engram came as OC. Unfortunately he went on to greener pastures. Our recruiting has taken a nose dive, and Mertz just doesn't have it, despite being a highly touted Elite 11 QB who had offers from Alabama, OSU, ND, etc. Wisconsin has had some bad luck the last couple years on the recruiting trail. We actually do have some 5 star guys from top 25 recruiting classes on this team along the offensive line, but they're all bench and depth guys like Logan Brown who got his first start of the season last night. We briefly started getting some of those 4 and 5 star guys and it turned out, they suck. lol

WI has been consistently in bowl games for the last 30 years except for 2-3 years. They won't make it to BCS games but they do have a nice resume for the students that they are able to get. Bigtime disadvantage versus these historical teams but I'll take their last 30 years over Notre Dame and many other teams that's for sure.
