EP 078: The making of Market Wizards, and wisdom from elite traders w/ Jack Schwager
As I’m sure you already well aware, Jack Schwager has been involved with financial markets for many years, he’s the author of the acclaimed Market Wizards series and others, and he’s also the co-founder of FundSeeder.
During our talk, we go behind the scenes of the Market Wizards and Jack shares his experiences from conducting interviews with trading royalty and some of his most memorable moments.
Of course, I ask Jack to flesh out some of the great knowledge he’s learned from this-discussing; self-confidence, sacrifices, what separates a profitable trader from a super trader, and the issue with seeking comfort.
You’ll also hear an update on FundSeeder, as well as something you might be very interested to know, what trading books does Jack recommend to others?

Ordinarily, I would say something like "it's a shame this video has such few views", but in the case of investing....good! The more people ignore quality information like this, the less competition there is for people who listen up on the real experts.

Reminiscences of a stock operator... great book tat focus on the psychology of the trader and being able to stick to your own rules. Never listen to what other have to say, then stick to the tape and your own strategy

Who do you think Jack was talking about that blew up his account by not following risk management?

I think most traders fail because virtually anyone can become a trader by opening a 500$ brokerage account. There is no formal education, evaluation and certification process. If selection and evaluation process for traders is same as that of professional athletes or attorneys, most of them will be successful.

Verified track records for traders is a good idea but how can you trust a company by giving them access to your trading information. What if they start copying trades of successful traders and start trading opposite to the average traders. Most brokers allegedly do that already.

That is what I was thinking or they are training an AI with all that data
