Grant scored 20+ in 3 of his first 5 games. But that's only because Nate Oats allowed him to be himself and play the point while doing ISO plays on the defensive bigs. But after the 1st 5 games, he didn't take the ball up the court like that anymore. It completely screwed his ppg Grant could easily have scored around 18 points per game if the he were allowed to be himself on the offensive side of the ball

Bro, Grant Nelson had 17 points and 6 rebounds against #5 Arkansas in 2022 when he played for NDSU. The stage was never too big for him even then. He didn't have to adjust to the crowd size or the speed of the SEC players. He was the only one i saw pumping the crowd up...like ever. He loved it from day 1. It wasn't too much for him. It had nothing to do with him performing worse after transferring to Bama. What happened was Grant scored 20+ points in 3 of the first 5 games of the season became Nate Oats allowed Grant to be himself and run the offense by taking the ball up the court and run ISO on the defense bigs...That's exactly why he had 24 points against UNC too. And Grant wasnt even allowed to be himself against UNC until the 2nd half. Grant had 16 of his 24 points in the 2nd half. If Nate would have allowed Grant to be himself that whole game instead of just the 2nd half, Grant would have most likely had closer to 32+ points in that game

Complete BS. Nelson was overmatched most of the season against bigs and his 3 point shooting was bad.

Sears, Youngblood, Reid, Nelson, Cliff or UK kid, or worst case possible maybe Philon, Mallette, Nelson, Stevenson, Sherrell. This team is loaded, but expectations will also be high

You left off Wrightsell. He's a guaranteed starter. Him, Nelson, and Sears if he returns will have three spots locked up. That leaves the 5 spot for Cliff or the UK guy, and the other wing, prolly Youngblood. A starting five of Sears, Trelly, Youngblood up top and Grant and Cliff down low, would be absolutely filthy.

Grant would have been foolish not to return for next season. If he improves his consistency, gains on hideous mustache 😂, then, he could be a 1st Rounder in 2025. He’d be a developmental guy in the NBA or be sent to Europe to improve in the very same areas.
