the anime ended with an open relationship, because there was one more girl character who liked him, but he showed that he loves her ranka almost at the end of the anime ;)

No, he picks Sheryl in the end but she ends up in a coma. Happens in the movie

@@Imafraidofeverything the anime was based on a romance between ranka and alto and the movie was based on a romance between alto and sheryl, since in the anime he chose ranka and not sheryl!

It's fairly open ended in the anime, he does however live with the other girl, Sheryl and it's hinted at (canon in the novel) that they sleep together. In the manga, he also ends up with Sheryl. In the movie though he disappears so he doesn't end up with anyone.

the kiss scene of alto and ranka is 2:26 and the anime ended with open relationship but he love ranka :)

@@corazonotome Well, actually he chooses Sheryl in the movies that are the sequel u.u I remember I was super broken hearted because I waited one entire year to see the last movie and Alto ends picking Sheryl, but he still loves Ranka as a close friend.
