I am Vietnamese. I listen to this song many times. He is the first foreign singer who pronounce the word "Bui Doi" exactly same with the native speakers.

Im very familiar with the orginal version of this song, i wasnt aware with the changes they made for the new version of M. Saigon, when i heard this last sunday in Solaire i was shocked with that note in the end. I so freakin love this new version bravo Lewis 👏👏👏👏

The whole ensemble of the latest Australian prod is perfect. I just saw them last weekend at Solaire and I know that they’ve done so many shows already, but it felt like them giving their 100% for the first time. Their vocal prowess is remarkably one for the books. Almost wept at the end and couldn’t help but give them a well-deserved standing O.

I felt like the majority of the audience were new to theatre or they're just a bit shy so the standing ovation was really at the end of the musical. But i felt every ending of each character's performances, the audiences were a bit hesitant to cheer loudly bc they werent sure they'd disrupt the flow, but i feel the awe everyone feels watching the show. But yeah, standing ovation by everyone at the end! We just had to!
