Weta Workshop sculptor Jane Wenley had been wanting the chance to sculpt a Wraith for some time, and it was she that faced that challenge head on. Packing an armature into her San Diego Comic-Con suitcase, she began the piece in the thick of the action in 2018. The sculpture evolved over a period of two years, with the statue’s composition and detail undergoing an evolution driven by co-founder and creative director, Richard Taylor. Such beautiful work, beautiful pieces! These may be out of my price range, so interesting to see the work and thought that goes into them, and to admire from afar the final product.

Why do you remove the fallen king statue ? That is not a good idea.

They said why in the video - They thought his presence drew focus away from Frodo and that without it Frodo looked even more alone and vulnerable, which was the whole point of the scene in the movie. They also said that some people working on the statue thought it should have stayed so there was even a difference of opinion within the design team. So you have every right to disagree with their design choice, but at the end of the day it's the artist who gets to choose what the sculpt just like you get to choose whether the exclusion of the fallen king statue is enough to stop you buying it. :)
