I think my parents recognise very much how much harder things are for mine and my hubbys generation than theirs. My hubby is at the end of gen x and I am a few years later in millennials but yes its def challenging financially... my parents said the first house they bought in Leeds, England cost them 12k I think lol... Now hubby and I live in South West of England and prices are worse where we used to live an hour or so outside of London in Buckinghamshire... but even here in Devon, a 3 bed house is nearly half a million... property is insanity! Living costs are horrendous! I am working on daily gratitude for everything we do have esp in this world but yes the perfectionism thing is a battle in my head for sure - as well as guilt for thinking these things with the world they way it is!
