I voted early in Ohio today (and may I just say what a relief it is to have my vote for Biden cast). It took about an hour, there were loads of people there, and loads of people in line when I left. I'm so happy that early voting is breaking records and I truly hope it's a blue wave that they can't deny. 💙

The thing most people aren't really talking about is, even if you get the virus and you are asymptomatic, as your immune system fights that virus off, there is a very very very small chance that virus could mutate and adapt, the more of us it infects and learns how to harm, the worse it's going to get. Every person infected is another chance for the virus to become something more communicable or deadly. Preventing infection is the only way to decrease the odds of this occuring.

That's called mutation, luckily with covid type viruses I heard (from an expert)it is not that common to do that! But it could in theory happen yes. Also, which is beeing studied now, 1% of all covid cases that have no or low symptoms people have long lasting fatique syndrom. Not the old people, the young too. Very nasty! But trump knows this, which is why he is killing preexisting conditions and obamacare

What I don't get is how few poll stations you have. Here in Germany you generally have poll stations 5-10 min walk distance from your home. You go in, cast your vote and will be out in less than 5 mins. And then I look across the ocean and see you guys queue for hours to cast your vote ...

You're only hearing the media's side... there are parts of his rallies where he's perfectly coherent, and says some true things, in amongst all the nonsense. His basic message of 'the system screwing us' is still spot on. Of course, he fails to mention that he's part of the system that is screwing us. If you're a person who is impatient for things to get better, better wages, better healthcare, better environment, then Trump sounds, and is terrible. But if you're someone who would really go back to the 1950's, where it was a much simpler time, then Trump is your Boy! In many ways, this election boils down to those who want to go forward, and those who want to go back... If we change too much, too soon, there will always be a backlash. This is, that backlash.

@Eleni 1979 We were certainly taught history through a white, Euro-centered angle, but we were also taught things like civics and critical thinking. We were taught that continued education was a good thing, however you achieved it. And while public schools always needed more money, the system wasn't being actively torn down.

@Grey Wolf I was curious so I watched Trump's interview with Lesley Stahl as well as the unedited interview (both through a VPN). Let's just say that's over an hour of my life I ain't getting back. That Dumpkoff can't speak coherrently at all, it's like an Alien with a IQ of Zero lost his way and got stuck inside a walking sack of horse manure. A toddler is Einstein in comparison to Dumpkoff. Many of us born before 1980 grew up during the Cold War where the schools taught us that the Soviet Union was a socialist country and that was their biggest problem. It was always capitalism=USA=good and socialism=USSR=bad. It is deeply ingrained in people of my generation, even if it is totally bogus.

I broke my wrist a couple months ago and the only thing I could get precribed was half strength meds watered down with OTC ingredients, and even those were very limited. Still can't use my left hand and no meds allotted now. 6 years ago my back went completely out, and they gave me the good stuff. So yeah, it's something that just happened recently...

I knew Seth had been a writer for SNL, but I didn’t know that he was head writer and that his team won an Emmy. It’s likely that he might be a bit more involved with writing or editing than some other hosts are. And his delivery and physical comedy are spot on. I don't know that I buy this argument. The whole "vote in numbers too big to rig" strikes me as wrongheaded and defeatist. Democrats margin of victory doesn't have to be any bigger than 50% +1 in states that equal or exceed 270 votes in the electoral college, same as Republicans. Why don't you guys doing anything to cheat back? Send everyone who already voted to suburban counties that voted Trump +20 or more and stayed Republican in 2018. Don't be violent, don't riot, don't say a word. Just wait in line. Biden's voters were willing to wait 8 hours or more in line to vote, I wonder if Trump voters are willing to do the same.

I am so glad the “President” cleared up a big issue we are having out here in CA. Until today, none of us knew the rules. Sure, we were being careful, keeping distance between tables outside, and even converting parking spaces into outdoor seating at restaurants. Nobody I know was aware of or owned this special “contraption” that helps us eat through our masks. There were people at the restaurant today risking prison time by eating at a table without a mask over their mouths.

Just lost my oncle from Covid yesterday.... he was two weeks from being 86. He was the eldest of the family. He has spent 12 days in ICU. Can’t assist to funerals. Wish I could offer my condolences to my cousins and his grandchildren.
