I don`t understand why anybody gets upset about any decision that you, or any other KZfaq content creator, make. It`s not like they`re paying for your videos. It is FREE entertainment and entirely up to you what you spend YOUR money on. I just love the chatter and I like anything on two wheels anyway. Having followed you two for a long time, I always look forward to any of your videos, which contain any motorcycle content. Keep doing what you do 👍

Living in snotty lanes in the Black Mountains I bought my Monkey 3 years ago as I dare not take my GS up half of them. I thought it would be a 2 minute wonder but it's the last thing I'd get rid off. I can literally take it anywhere to explore and it's fantastic to nip to town. Always attracts a crowd and makes people smile including me.

You can buy whatever bikes you like, that's you decision and the viewer doesn't have to ride them. However, I don't understand the series based upon test riding bikes that you never intended to buy based on their overall cost. That's a lot of tyre kicking along the way.

Halfway through the series, we decided it's best to wait for our house move. It wasn't a wasted journey. We have these videos to look back on when we are ready. That way, we capture the demo and can re watch and decide later on.

Hi Nick and Jodie, I was initially inspired to get back in to the 125 game after your cb125f review. I still have and is my most used bike. I had one of the first Monkeys back in 2018 which I loved. But for me I like being understated/fall under the radar. The monkey at the time had everyone coming over at gas stations and shops wanting photos, It felt somewhat awkward. So I thought getting back into the small cc adventure I would get the cb125f. Amazing like you said how cost effective these 125’s are. Reliable too. Never had an issue in my 2 years of ownership. I own a few bikes, Kawasaki Ninja 400 (4 years) Ninja 1000 sx (1 year) Versys x300 (5 years) Crf250l (8 years) and Vstrom 650 (9 years). I find the 2 bikes that get by far the most use are the CB125f and Versys x300. I find the smaller bikes are surprisingly more fun, convenient, cost effective to run, better lane filters, lighter to move around the garage, and the main reason they allow a better sense of adventure. The others definitely have their use. I ride everyday but both my wife and I realise I have a problem with buying bikes haha. To ramble on further, the one thing my bikes have in common is they can all be used as a daily bike/commuter, Japanese super reliability, somewhat have iconic past for class leading value for money, and comfortable. My brief when purchasing always followed those rules. I have an old bomb of a car that very rarely gets used. Cb125f - daily naked commuter mostly used in summer. Crf250l - off road adventure bike with mates. Versys 300x - daily faired commuter mostly in the winter. Ninja 400 - light weight sports bike for enjoying the mountain twisties and can easily take the motorway home and still be fun. V Strom 650 - I use for longer multi day rides/tours especially when that includes highways, mountain twisties and light off roaring. Ninja 1000 sx - is for hanging out with my super bike friends in comfort. Can do everything the others can but no off roading obviously. Cruise control, quick shifter and premium feel is what really sets it apart from the others. Strictly a weekend bike. I honestly believe the variety is what helps keep me riding everyday and really enjoying the hobby. Going back to yourselves, after watching your channel and especially the bike hunt I would be surprised if you don’t end up with the Tracer 9 GT for you both to tour together on. Monkey is such a great choice, especially when you can share the laughs/hobby with each other. My wife hates bikes… the jealousy of that is real 😂

Your post makes me feel less guilty about my own vehicle addiction! On the bright side at least these two bikes haven't cost an arm and a leg....and therein lies the advantage of multi-bike ownership compared to even one decent car.

Here's one for the Teenagers: I Remember when I was 7 or 8 there was a Monkey bike in the local Motorcycle shop Window. Every Borough and town had at least one motorcycle shop in the 1970s... I Got my Dad to drive that way every time we went out anywhere in the Car, My nose pressed up against the widow as we drove past. "Dad could I..." Only if we win the Pools Son" I did the pools with him every Thursday when the Pools Man came round on the off chance. It Never did come up with the Draws we needed.. When it Finally went ( It seemed to be there for ages) I shed a few of course, but that Christmas I woke up and ran down stairs to find a brand new........... Tomahawk, push bike!... ( a mini Chopper for those under 50) Bless the old man it was the same colour as the MB and I was chuffed... So You two, my friends, are literally living the dream!! ..Good luck to you. Enjoy!! and Bollocks to The Bollock's.

There is another motorcycle youtuber that I watch that did the scooter cannonball run on a similar sized bike. (Super Cub one year and then the next year a PCX 150) I don't recall the distance, but this years is well over 2000 miles. (Seaside, Oregon to South Padre Island, Texas to be exact) So huge trips are possible.. they are just gonna take longer.

My stepson had a Benelli TNT125 for just over a year and that was an absolute hoot to ride. He put a Black Widow exhaust on it so it was ridiculously loud, but that just made it even more funny! These little bikes are great fun, but I don't think I'd want to be riding very far on busy A-roads on them. Now for the boring bit and I'm gonna come across all preachy again (because I've said this to you in the past) - but PLEASE don't trespass, and only ride the motorbikes on Byways Open To All Traffic. Don't become part of the problem that has already reduced the amount of green lanes we can drive/ride down due to stupidity and ignorance/arrogance.

They monkeys remind me of the Honda 70s of yesteryear. I found this channel because I just bought a ktm 390 and was watching your dislike video. Different strokes for different folks they say. As long as you just want to tool around on backroads those look fun. But when the need for speed or strapping gear on hits the short comings will surface. My 390 will get a russell daylong sport seat and the stock windscreen is already history. Enjoy the monkeys fuel economy .I bet its phenomenal.

@@nicksepisode Well, I hope you, soon, will be able to purchase a pair of good bikes. These are usable, but the riding surface should be pedictable - too tiny wheels. There is, also, a limited stability at speed ( ~ 90km/h was the most, I managed to squeeze out of one of these...), so easy on the throttle.... Buttom line - these bikes are for very small/light riders. MT09 is a bike for showoffers - very well established ( to pay speed tickets.... ) + bug eating lovers 🦋🐝🐞🦗🦟🪰 U 2 - just ride safe and enjoy.
