Fun fact I learned about half an hour ago - you can use Wither for bounties that require heavy grenade launchers. For some reason, it counts as one even though it's an energy weapon in the kinetic slot

i think it has something to do with its projectile arc and velocity. If you were to grab an interference lets say, and fire it, you will notice that wither and the heavy grenade launcher have a very similar projectile arc and velocity, if not completely identical. I think they just took that code and slapped it onto wither, making it complete said heavy bounties.

Normal Breach loaded GL are same as heavy GL for many things. Bounites (as you mentioned) ,quests and mods treat both as same thing.If a mod says bonus ammo for GL,then its for both special ammo GL and heavy ammo GL.

Herro Gamer It is silent alarm. It increases handling and auto reloads when stowed, and it is the fastest catalyst to get, no insane grind.

Tacitus Kilgore it requires 100 guardian kills which can be done in cruci or gambit but obviously a lot easier in cruci

The improved impact damage on the second shot is one of the perks on the gun. Blighted targets take more damage.

Always love your videos man. I see some new mods available in the prismatic reactor. Those combined with some of our old charged with light mods, I feel, could create some real nasty pvp builds. You're forgetting how you can drop a direct impact that does lots of tik damage and then switch to heavy, MT can't do that. It's like a special anarchy

I feel like the increased direct damage on subsequent hits help make up for the fact that the DoT doesn't stack. The most optimal would probably be to shoot one direct and then another on the ground, then swap to heavy until the first direct damage is almost done, then reapply DoT right before the first one ends to get the better direct damage This gun was really fun to use today! I definitely had to rock enhanced GL loader on my gauntlets though, the reload was SLOW

I just got the catalyst to drop today; it's just a kill requirement to unlock it. From what the catalyst says, "chain lightning activates on an arc kill". I don't know if that means any arc kill while you have it equipped, or if it means only kills with TG because I haven't completed the unlock yet

I think of it like a kinetic anarchy. The catalyst I believe adds handling and auto loading holster. With this you can use a different heavy weapon, say the new sword with vorpal weapon, and have that tick damage adding. You then swap after 8 seconds or so and reapply the blight, now hitting for 1400% more damage direct impact as you say, then swap back. For swords this would really work best with vorpal as whirlwind would reset. Another thing I was doing was using a spike field court interference with it, giving even more DPS when shooting.

From my experience, Witherhoard is best used if you pair it with an amazing heavy weapon than it is to use for straight dps by itself. Kind of like what other people do with anarchy and mountaintop

Got the Trinity Ghoul catalyst and got it done today. Gotta say, it makes it a mindless PvE slaying machine. It gives a .8 reduction or so in draw time, and the main perk activates on any arc final blow. Be it a chain lighting kill or a direct body shot kill. It. Is. Amazing. It just chews through ads and is such an improvement over the base weapon.

The benefit I've found is that you can use it just like anarchy. so you can stick the target, place a blight at its feet, then swap to something like wendigo.

My favorite build is triple grenade launcher all with auto loading holster double grenade launcher finder, double enhanced grenade launcher loader with osphdians aspects, double reserves, and grenade launcher scavenger. Matrys retribution, wendigo, interference, or edge transit depending on the activity. Never run out ammo on any because of endless finders scavengers. Also three retribution to choose between. The grenade launcher build rocks. Also add in dire artillery for super energy and running well/ charged with light when i have no super.

It’s catalyst gives it auto loading holster and a +40 to handling. So it could pair really well with a legendary heavy such as Wendigo for total DPS, similar to pairing Anarchy with a legendary special for total DPS

I think they wanted to focus on one revolving world which is why we wont see destiny 3 for...at the least 3 more years. New contents good but....I'd like my old raid loot back so I say bring back kings fall.

Very creative and I had a blast in cruci tonight. Ended up in a lobby where one of two guys were throwing down blights, and sidearm or hand cannon. By the end, I'm pretty sure every player on each side switched to using it and it was just hilarious chaos. It's trolly but fun trolly if that makes sense? It's not like salt creating troll.

Man I felt like it was slightly OP in PvP when it first came out today. Got used to getting the hell outta the blight well when I came across them but the damage per tick seemed insane. I felt like 3 ticks killed you but I guess if you’re already hit by one shot of almost anything, 3 ticks might do it. The combo of running past a blight well and getting hit by a grenade or HC seemed lethal almost every time. Thanks for the great content Aztec!

I’ve been rocking the new grenade launcher with a seventh seraph sidearm, and getting direct hits. As the directly impacted enemy is taking damage over time switch to a seventh seraph weapon for a chance to spawn warmind cells even with the blight launcher as long as you have at least one warmind armor mod on.

On the note of things just moving out of the aoe... remember that Stasis (the new darkness subclass damage type) will have a lot of slowing/CC effects. When it drops, it won't be long till we see lots of combos, not just comboing with supers like Tether

I haven't used a special a grenade launcher Ever since the proximity rounds nerf to stop the 1 hit kil but My God a launcher is amazing its my new favorite exotic in the game

Question. Would this be a viable way for somebody who’s awful with the breach load grenade launchers (it’s me, I’m awful with them) to more easily get pvp kills toward the mountaintop quest?
