This guy is by far one of the best players I’ve ever seen man. He can play any character and go crazy. Watching your videos are the most relaxing parts of my day. Keep up the good work man, I would love to play with you and learn from you.

i just started playing pirate, not even rep 1 yet but im still new to the game, i have about 60 hours in the game and its all on warmonger (which i feel im pretty good at and like her). but im having a hard time on pirate, mainly that i cant faint the dodge attacks and the dodge forward top heavy is unblockable instead of undodgeable. its throwing me for a loop all the time. and the fact the the back heavy is parryable screws me all the time. idk ill try to guardbreak all the time and then accidentally shoot them. i just need more time i think but losing game after game is infuriating.

Ima rep 75 pirate ,u gotta fight the urge to dodge attack. And just dodge light since it's a blue. Then faint the unblockable dodge for getting easy dodges as well as the stab. It's just timing all pirate is

They’re all the same, wait for the red indicator to flash white, then click parry! :) not easy but possible with practice.

"He left. Understandable." After the match is already over, though? I for one don't understand. Why leave early because you're pissed that you already lost against a more skilled opponent? If you stay and let the game wrap up and put the defeat on your record, won't your MMR drop, eventually getting you easier opponents?... Am I misunderstanding?

Guys can someone explain me how frame advantage works? Seeing S playing I gave a try to input heavy attacks after countering a gb, but mostly of the time I got gb out of it… how it is possible ?

You have to buffer the heavy, and make sure you don’t switch your guard. :)

It's one of Pirates' special moves called "Walk The Plank." After any non wallk the plank move (Light, heavy or zone,) you can go into that by holding back on the left stick (I believe S on Keyboard) and pressing heavy, it can be soft fainted into a guardbreak or hard fainted on startup to go back to Neutral like most heavies.

How is pirate THE worst? I thought it was Orochi or smth. Could you explain me please why is for instance Orochi better than Pirate? Or zanhu. Even I can react to Zanhu

I personally think Orochi is the worst, and then pirate, and then Nobushi. That’s just what the best of the best say, the people that are on my skill level and even a little higher, all seem to agree that pirate is the worst.

@@christos-marioseftichidis4139 yes, it has a delay unlike the heavy which makes it easier to tell when it’s coming. And it’s not a 500ms bash so it’s slow enough to tell.

ill never understand people who leave in the final round, correct me if im wrong but you dont get steel or xp if you do so if you leave in anger all you achieved during that match was getting upset, round 1 sure that might be necessary sometimes but if you suffer through the whole game to get nothing but misery out of it, seems silly to me

You don’t get the loss on your record if you leave via task manager before the game ends. So people do this so they don’t “technically” take the loss and can have cracked stats. But this causes them to have high MMR and get into lobbies with better players, meaning they lose even more. 🙃

Every move she has is reactable, and not only that, if you learn about the matchup, you can just last frame parry everything and still be able to counter GB on her UBs even if you went for the parry. That, and going into the pistol blast make the follow up UB interruptible. You can kinda just stare at her all day and win.

Mediocre health, really easy to read attacks, milquetoast damage that feels like felling a tree with a scalpel. But Pirate slaps in 4v4s because of the fun feats and its harder to counter the plank walk mixup in the chaos of battle
