I'm a relatively new player to the game and i hear you mention frame advantage in your videos a lot, what exactly is it? I have a rough idea but am not 100% sure.

So when you counter guard break someone, you have one frame of advantage meaning that if you were to throw a light attack at the same time as your opponent after you counter their guard break, your light attack would land first because you have the advantage. It would be the opposite if someone counters your guard break attempt. Also, since you you have one frame of advantage, if you throw a heavy attack right after you counter someone’s guard break, if they try to guard break you again, their guard break will bounce off and the heavy will land. It was a change implemented to give people more options after counter guard break so they didn’t have to risk throwing a light and getting parried, plus it also punishes people who just like gb spamming. I know that’s a lot of info but it’s actually pretty simple in practice.

I was fighting a warmonger who pretty much did nothing but the dodge unblockable. GB out of nowhere would catch him on a dodge nearly every time.

I do think when it comes to rematching everyone can be a little bit self centered. Sometimes you win and don’t wanna rematch bc you have your reasons (whatever they maybe), but when our opponents win and don’t wanna rematch we don’t consider they have their reasons and they just ducking us. Also day 26 of asking you to humble nova

I’m no expert but for example It’s the point where if you and your opponent try to throw a light at the same time, yours will hit first because I believe recovery. For example, one S uses this a lot after he counters a guard break if he throws a heavy immediately after countering and the opponent tries to guard break again then the guard break would bounce off and the heavy will land due to frame advantage. I’m going to link a video from freeze that goes more in depth and explains it further if you’re interested! Some hero’s have a frame advantage almost all the time.. from what I know warmonger and warlord are great examples. Its just always their turn to attack. I’m sure one himself could confirm or deny if I’m correct on that
