Aslam o alikum, excellent way of teaching, i like the point you are describing every smallest step to make clear the concept, means you are telling which key you are going to press at every moment, many time i face this problem that in hurry teachers are using short keys without disturbing and i fall in confusion what happened.

some times you can work without expand in few objects but if you can not get required results then you can use expand. but expand is recommended
