I watched Latvian final with my 6 year old daughter and when she listened to Dons performance she got goosebumps and tears in her eyes, not even understanding the words. I wish I would film it as it showed that his voice and emotions could get even through kid's heart who does not have any life experience yet and understanding of anything that the song was about. Fingers crossed this incredible vocal and song is appreciated in Europe and he takes the win back home!

It is normal. My favorite song at age 6 was Madonna-Frozen. 😅 Children feel and understand everything, even if they can't talk about emotions like adults do.

When he sang the last part of the song in latvian language during Supernova, it felt so intense and emotional. It was like the cherry on the cake. I hope he keeps this version for Eurovision.

I’m sooo hyped about this entry and Dons and so invested in his chances!! Dons if you see this, I think we really need the characters in the music video, wearing the same clothes. It conveys the message very well and makes it much more than a strong ballad. It gives narrative.

I like how he kinda avoided answering the question about adding in the Latvian verse to Hollow. Other questions he answered with a yes or no, but here he just said one is English and one is Latvian. I think if many of the other songs in the SF are in their native languages, his intuition and instincts will guide him when it's time to read the room. Keeping his cards close to his chest on that question, as they say in poker 👀

@@greygust3936 search for Supernova 2024, the entire show. He sings at the very end as a winner already, but actually it is not an entire chorus in Latvian as I thought, just a couple of lines.

Precise translation for the last line from Latvian 🇱🇻: 1. Es sagrauts, bet dzīvs 2. Varbūt šķiet, ka es te nespēkā sūdzos 3. Neko vairāk, tikai laiku es lūdzos, lūdzos... 1. I'm broken, but alive 2. Maybe it seems that I am complaining in my weakness here 3. Nothing more, just for (more) time I pray, I pray... ❤
