Tip: Using max range mana strike can catch back dashes at round start and for some reason no one is ever ready for it. Just remember to free cancel it in case you wiff

@@sethmilligan8833 yep , it’s actually kinda a funny move because for a character who is supposed to be weaker a closer ranges , he has move that can give him a wining trade against cowboys horizontal slash.

Useful combo for wizard against cowboy. If you use float + reverse + book slap, you move backwards at the same speed and about the same distance as a back dash, just enough for most first options to miss, with the same frame cost, with the addition of hitting behind you, which catches them out of their "teleport behind and stab you move" while at the same time giving you enough momentum to keep slapping them with the book before following up with fireball, or a Mana strike placed just behind them when they're out of book range, which'll knock them back into book range. Close range wizard is fun.
