That’s how Steeplechase was set up, but Beef is canonically “soft” despite the punching, Montrose is just a cloud of chaos contained by a mask, and Emmerich is … a crisis sandwich with engineer filling. Baddies they, thus far, aren’t really. I’m adoring the arc, and the characters.

I hate sympathetic villains. At this point it's way over played and almost never surprising. And with a lot of modern era children's cartoons it's usually some fluffy luffy everyone gets along ending bullshit and I hate it. Kid's movies in the 80's people got iced. Including heroes.
