The real #1 house is free, and you can't get rid of it cause it's etched onto your very soul, the bazaar badge house. You need to help 250 people which itself is worth more then gold.

As far as houses go for gold, Storm House is awful. No space for a garden at all. You guys should have mentioned Dragons Fjord, Myth house( 2 of the best for gold) and the Watch tower hall, Tree house and wyrd house ( all crafted)
