The Dad on the show said "Reboot?" In David's comments and he does a podcast with Jennifer Stone who plays Harper they talk about the show so I'm guessing they haven't been asked yet.

So far, the season hasn’t been confirmed, just a pilot and if the pilot goes well, then they’ll start discussing bringing back the old cast.

I can't wait to see what they have next in the series. I love the first series and I love the movies I watched them like billon times now and will never get tried of them and if we can get new wizards of Waverly place movie 2 I would be so happy or a Alex vs Justin vs Max would be cool to see because I loved the Alex vs Alex movie

I am super excited for this to happen. I have thought in my mind I think if it is magic free tv show maybe we do a family reunion more than having to much magic stuff on the show we can do some magic but not in the remainder of every season of the show.

It’s a shame. But the reason being is Disneys cable ratings have been dropping like crazy for the past 5-10 years. That’s why they’ve been reintroducing old shows like Fuller House, Ravens Home etc. These new shows are not making money
