I've been driving this car for 7 months now. Range is approx 240km on 80% (18°C), almost daily charging at the office on solar energy, nobody on the phone noticing I'm doing 100km/h through a tunnel. Every 30~50km a fast charger at my disposal (NL), charging 20~30minutes back to full. I absolutely love this car.

Interesting test. I have an e-tron 50 arriving next month and it should really suit my usage pattern. I used to commute 22 miles a couple of times a week in my PHEV but Covid means I'll probably work at home 99% now. Weekend family days out will be well within range and I'll be doing a few road trips now and then. Fortunately the UK rapid charger network is getting much better and there are quite a lot of 100-150kW chargers around so I'll only need to stop for 20-30 minutes and get a coffee and a bite to eat when I want to take a break anyway.

How are you liking your E-tron? I’ve ordered one from our company car list. Slightly worried about the range but for £20 a month BIK tax it’s a good compromise. Plus my work pays for a home charger. Thanks!

I ordered an 50 Black Edition a couple of weeks ago. Cant wait for it to arrive! We only drive 30 miles a day so the range is more than enough for us. Around 4 times a year we drive to the coast for holidays, which is a 180 mile roundtrip. However, there are 50kw chargers close to where we stay.

Josue, Hola!
@djosue272 жыл бұрын
@@giselletamayo2154 hola Giselle.

Audi seems to have struck a good deal with lease companies for new e-tron 50s. They are either cheaper or very cost competitive to lease as compared to Konas, e-Niros, or i3s and are much cheaper than EQCs or iPaces. It's going to be a hit in the company car lease market despite being an average electric car overall because of the clever pricing.

@renetvedtpedersen50484 жыл бұрын
From your driving experince you get about 25-26 kWh/100km as I could see. Would give you about 250 km per 100% charge, but during the spring summer I have gotten much better results. The car no longer uses the heater, which is very powerful and energy consuming, and are capable of doing 280-302 km per 100% charge. Often over 300 km as I use much closer to 20 kWh, and even under 20 kWh/100 km. I've had my car about five months, and I guess the car now knows how I'm driving and can better estimate the distance. Test cars have also often been used as "racing cars" to test out how fast they are, and specially how fast the are from 0-100 km/h. Not good for electric cars. The Audi can't compete on range with the competitors, but it's the best drive I've had in an electric car since I started with electric cars a long time ago. Development has been enormous, but still changes and tweeks can be done of course. Thanks for you great review. You always give great insite to the cars.

These Audi EVs charge the fastest out of all current production cars, people with range hang ups over this need to realise that on the few longer journeys you would make you can easily plan your journey to charge at the 150kw plus stations along your route. Takes about 20 mins to full charge! Also recent long rage normal driving test on the 55 variant produced over 360km distance. So don’t believe all you hear...FUD

Thank you for a gentle, informative video. I only wonder about your problem with charging distances in Switzerland. Lausanne to Geneva or Zurich- There seem to be many charge points along the journey. Also the 55 would not give you the full range without a recharge. Even with a long range Tesla you would have to recharge at some point on a return journey. Have I got this wrong? I am 80 years of age. I have driven a Citroen C5 Exclusive for ten years. Interesting that almost every feature in the E-tron is built into the Citroen. Only buttons and switches betray the age. The soft suspension setting in the E-tron seems identical to the Citroen. There is a Citroen sports setting also, which lowers the suspension and tightens the steering. The poor old lady Citroen is due to go in December, an E-tron 50 will replace her. I've driven and tested the e-tron 55 for a while. Silent luxury, the sound of the future. I cannot understand why some drivers see it as some kind of virility test to go 3 seconds to 100kph. The E-tron is a car for the grown-up future of cities and mankind. Thank you so much for explaining it so clearly.
@WiZe19724 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words. Citroen were ahead of their time with the stunning CX and DX. As per the chargers, yes, there are quite a lot but with slow charging rates. The ones with 50kw or above (ionity) are rare for now. If I have to go to Geneva with my former Tesla Model S 100D (460km of real autonomy) I would have Superchargers at Lausanne (half way) and Geneva. Actually I would do the two way trip without having to charge. The etron 50 real autonomy being around 240km, it would be an anxious trip. Congrat to your etron, I’m still driving the 50 and I love it a lot!
