This is probably the most inclusive world championship in the world. There are top players of all ages, genders, origins, body types... I dont see any other sport like this.

Watched a few times over the last days, and it was really nice! The commentators were also really nice and well selected, and with all those little interviews within, it was really good!

They are definitely missing an opportunity by not having these puzzles bundled up ready to be sold online during the competition. My suggestion is to try to release some of these on the day they are revealed in the competition!

if misfits sorted by shape way sooner they probably would have won. Makes a big difference in a puzzle like this.

I think the team that won shape sorted sooner than the second place team. They realized faster that a little "wasted" time sorting by shapes would benefit them in the long run, and it worked.

To the english speaking commentators, Rompe Cabeza (Puzzles) translates to "Head Breaker". Rompe Cerveza means "Beer Breaking" and that's a WHOLE different kind of event! 😆🤣

‘Rompecabezas’ (‘headbreaker’) is any kind of puzzle, not specific to jigsaws. To start with, Julia kept saying ‘rompecervezas’, which would mean ‘beerbreaker’.

Nonstop 3:08:19 See 3:17:52 for a final time list and price ceremony at 4:06:54 or rather 4:15:36 (top 3 at 4:23:56). Price ceremony for Pair and individual follows after that.

Someone said in the live chat that all of Karen's teammates are faster than her - but that's not true. Everyone is faster than someone else, depending on the puzzle. Some people are faster at other puzzles than others, but can get creamed at different one.

In particular, I think Karen is stronger at the solid colors, while her teammates are better at busy, which is why the other pair placed higher in pairs, and she thanked her teammate for pairs, but her teammates said they needed to practice solids for next year, so she was probably an advantage during the team competition. Having both pairs in the top 10 is a huge accomplishment, none of the other teams has that bragging point.

As one of Karen's teammates, I can say we each have our own strengths and areas for improvement! That's what's great about being able to work in a team :) I think each of us has outperformed the other teammates in different individual contests, and we are all pretty darn speedy!

I like how the Chicas Czechas put the water bottles in the lid to stand it up. I always use the bottom lid and it takes up a ton of space.

I think I would have done the other puzzle first and leave the easier one last. These ones are so much easier than that other puzzle from last night. There's no way the top teams won't finish both. Will wait to see what happens.

i know cameras have problems getting everyone but you seem to have totally forgot about USA team with Rasmusson - by the way I am grandma from ND

They forget about a lot of teams. Though it's likely mostly because of seating. The first row is the easiest to get, too, so all other tables the staff kind of have to push their way in just to get a shot. So many times, they ignore them just out of convenience. Don't think it's anything against those puzzlers. It's just seating.

Except the "USA team with Rasmusson" Puzzle Hustle was at table 3 on the front row. I know because I was on that team 😅 They likely didn't show us much because it seemed like we were behind because we did the harder puzzle first.

At 1:36:52 they mention that Ravensburger is actually pronounced Rafensburger. That is correct. V in German and Dutch/Flamish is pronounced as an f.

That wasn't their fault. It just so happened that a parade was being held during the same weekend as the puzzle competition.
