He was just there with his formal outfit, a plate of tarred toast and then some guy just grabs one and tries to eat the stuff, then he gets angry about eating tar after being told it was tar toast, after which he fucking starts being angry at the poor guy with the tar toast. @@ETAlnes Lmao, I mean, the whole thing is, it's easy to assume that he is just another waiter carrying around a platter of food, he's dressed that way, and holding a plate. "Trevor" was not paying attention to the fact that it is understandable that "Darren" had assumed that, and acts like a douche bag to him. Playing a character which is not owning up to his actions BUT it's funny because he has some good points. But really, "Trevor" is not being self aware and in his own world being like "Obviously you don't eat tar", assuming everybody is on the same page as him. But also, "Darren" just blindly accepted his own assumptions and went for it without a second thought, which is his own fault and also somewhat foolish. There is no right or wrong on either side, just two people stuck in their own heads unaware of the bigger picture, a happening. That people who are also stuck in their own heads can judge and find funny for their own reasons.

I was introduced to this show in the beginning of 2018, fresh out of rehab for the second time, by a housemate at the sober living house I was at. I was 23. The skit was "Necronomicon." I loved the show but after a while I'd have to skip past the intro music because for whatever reason, it gave me anxiety. Now that I look back, I think the darkness of some of the skits might have been amplifying the darkness in my mind and my life and creating a negative association with the theme music. Could be a lot of things. But I was still struggling with drugs. Things were actually once again turning dire when I made the decision 2 years ago to move away from my parents for good this time. Literally got clean overnight. I mean, I take methadone, but I had already been taking it for a year and a half to absolutely no avail. Amazing what can happen when you get away from an abusive situation. Anyways, now I have no problem watching the dark sketches or even listening to the theme music. Things are a lot better. Idk why I felt the need to share all that. Have a nice day.

17:58 At the start of the Time Machine sketch, Sam is casually reading the Warren Report when Trevor comes in and mentions about "how gay" the events of 9/11 were. Then it goes into the jingle, which talks about the (previous) "time they went back" they killed Hitler, but in so doing caused JFK to be a panda. Presumably, Sam is reading up on JFK's assassination so they can undo panda-JFK, or at least avoid similar mistakes in future trips to the past.
