+Carlton Smith Yeah, it is pretty good. Something without a fly bar and a gyro is going to be better, but also more expensive.

Any insight into the install of the brushless esc? It isn't like usual escs. I.e the control connection to the RX they all have a wire cut (black) and the power in is a JST Male & the battery is also a JST Male connector, so they don't fit or into the extension underneath together (only 1). The 3 wires I've soldered as usual, to the brushless motor. Is this a dodgy manufacture thing & if I stick a female JST on it would be fine? But then there's a power in solder point on the RX board. Usually battery to esc, esc to reciever & motor, all done. This one is strange. Obviously there is no BEC circuit & it's using power for the RX somehow also.

great video ,have you had any problems with main motor. mine burned out after 3 days of flying.

I have two of these wonderful rc helis. Now i order the new brushless version. I can't wait for the new v912, may be two time faster than the old one!

Gringo Hys It is nice :) I like quads more though as they are cheaper and usually fly better :D The brushless is over $100 right? It wont really be any faster as the pitch will be the same and the balance bar will fight movement the same way. Should have some nice throttle punch though!

Nice video. I'm wondering, are there two versions of the V912? I ask because my new one (it arrived 4/9/19) does not have the ON/OFF switch like yours does. On mine, I simply plug in the battery and then turn on the radio. I use a Tenergy balance charger, instead ot the one that came with it, to charge it.

No, I haven't even thought about moving up to a 913. I think the 912 will do me for a while.

Thanks for checking for the ON/OFF switch. I hope you enjoy your new V913 - I think I read somewhere that the bigger the heli, the easier it is to fly, have you heard that?

The manufacturers should put a low battery warning alarm on the transmitter like the rc boats I have, just a good piece of mind

I've learned I can bind this to my 6ch Flysky TX & don't have to use the supplied one, however the shoulder buttons (turbo etc) make me wonder if I will be missing something? Is the turbo just extra throw to pitch the nose down further, or does it affect the motor etc? And is the other button just a dual rate switch?

+Ashley McGovern The Turbo button just makes the servo give more throw. If I press turbo when flying the V911 with the V912 TX, it gives full right yaw, so can't say what it will do on different models.

+The RCAddict It seems a decent enough TX it comes with but the FlySky TX will likely give me better adjustment options & I can keep it charged without having to keep sticking AA batts in it. The only thing to do is trial & error see how it goes.

I have the V911 and V913....will either of these transmitters work with the V912 BNF? if not what would be an inexpensive TX for the V912....

Well, I know the V912 radio works with the V911, so it should work in reverse yes.

You could use it in a large gym, but otherwise no. The battery was fine.

I have one of these choppers but while I was flying it,the 2.4 ghz controller had a 'seizure' and all the lights on the small screen flickered and the heli became completely unresponsive and fell straight to the ground. When I finally got the connection working again the back rotor control inverted and I couldn't find out how to fix it. I decided I'm taking it back to the jaycar's electronics shop I bought it from and hopefully I'll get a refund for it. I'm not happy with it. I'm hoping it's only the place I bought it from that's unreliable, and no one else has the same problem.

If I punch the throttle mine likes to yaw to the left then I have to correct it. Anyone else have this issue? Trim helps a little but it doesnt do it unless I punch the throttle.

I am not sure if It was with this one, but I had that sometimes. The tail motor is just not strong enough to hold it I think.

Sam McWethy Yeah, these cheap helis aren't the best. I think it might have been this one that did it though, after I crashed it really bad.

So my tail motor just died. I bet it was defective out of the box, it had a bad problem with the yaw even when I didn't punch it that hard. Someone would have mentioned it if it was that bad. My guess is I'll replace the motor and it won't be nearly as big of an issue. The motor must have been weak right from the start.

I don't think that's the case because I have to let it sit for a few seconds or it won't bind and when I have throttle up and it binds the blades kick up.

Arend Vynexter It will prevent your batter from getting to low, but cutting power off, but there is no beep or anything. You can either set a timer, or notice how low the throttle response is getting.
