Well you usually don't see that everyday. Awesome catch! There's gotta be a reason why Wheeling & Lake Erie were bringing in coal loads into Baltimore on CSX tracks.

Remember going to Connellsville with family as a youngster. Trains of B & O WM, P&WV, W & LE, lots of smoke from steam engines and gazillion trains including passenger trains. Those surely were the days.

Nice EMDs and YN2 dash 8! Any idea what happened to those CSX SD40s? I’m guessing they might’ve been rebuilt as dash 3s, while the dash 8 is still operating.

CSX EMD RAILFAN yeah, thats true. i wish i had started a couple years earlier, when i was seeing all the old stuff but not using a camera. i started just at the end of a lot of things we'll never see again. i did film some, but probably missed a lot more.
