Good morning Dave! Awesome review and comparison! Even though they are mostly the same underneath, except for all the metal added and lights. This is a great truck! So many good reviews on both vehicles! Last month I made the decision to purchase one of these two myself and ended up going for the D7, as it was like $80 shipped on AliExpress. The other one at the time was $139, so I went with the cheaper model. Still hasn’t come in yet but , hopefully soon .your video on the D7 sold me!👍🏻💯😃 plus I’ve been looking to get a few 1/12 desert trucks for an up coming video! I really love the lights on the truck and the body as well. Thanks for turning me on to it bro. Can’t wait for it to come in! Great overview brother and have a blessed Sunday!🙏🏼👊🏼💯😃

Thank you Brother👊 much appreciated! I love the D7, great choice and deal. I don’t see them around as much anymore, wondering if it may be discontinued soon. Only down, was bushings and stock shocks. Haven’t had any issues with the bushings, just added a little grease. And oil shocks are cheap and easy. The new one is cool, but not sure if the price jump is justified for the metal links(plastic may be better for bashing), bearings, oil shocks and lighted body. Probably cheaper to upgrade them separately, as needed. and I like the D7 body way more too. Hope it comes in soon and that you have a blast with it! 2200mah packs fit pretty well in the compartment. Love me some WL Toys. -I put a 3s ESC in my 144001. It has all metal hubs and arms and it just rips. -I have a set of 2 K989s. We love to take sidewalk chalk and make a racetrack for them on the driveway. -My WL12423 has the full metal kit (I don't recommend it although I have mine ironed out) With a good set of shock springs from heaven knows what (Wrath Spawn Rear Tamiya TT-X Front Maybe ??? - the ones in the kit were garbage)

I love my 12402a, it’s brushless with armma shocks and it’s a beast!!! Glad to see another version came out!

I have the 104009 and I want to downgrade the aluminum a arms to the plastic ones that come in the 12402 from watching your video it looks like they're an exact fit I think I also own that brushed ESC that you have in the 12402
