I ordered a set of Alloy 'Oil' Shocks from Aliexpress, came in at only $14 delivered! Bargain!
All fitted and feeling nice. This is an essential upgrade for this truck (and the 12423) as the stock shocks are far to bouncy.
Next video will be giving the truck a run to test them out.

Nice! you can probably put the stock springs on maybe if the new shocks have to stiff of a spring rate.. can't wait to see how it goes.👍😊👍

Shen RC If the weather holds off I’ll be taking it out for a run tomorrow over the local Skate/BMX Park. Along with the big beast (Arrma Outcast). We’ll see how it goes :)

I bought the same brand of shocks 85mm length and they are fitted on my Midnight Pumpkin and Montero CW01 chassis they are great for the price.

My 10428 is terrible the shocks compress but don't come back up on their own, got some oil filled on the way!

I know this is a 6 yo video, but did you have any issues with the length of those shocks? I think I have the same ones and they are little bit shorter and aren’t working well. I was wondering if you had any problems, I was thinking if I could use the rods from the original shocks and use them for green ones

I have the 12423 which is the same exact truck just a short course body, just put some oil shocks on it and its a world of difference! How have you found the waterproof claim to hold up?

I never took mine in water stock...I'd not trust it lol

Yeah should be fine. I use GT85....similar to WD40. Smells better 😉👍

It was just a Tamiya one...maybe 'soft' not sure on weight

I don't think that you need to upgrade the shocks cause the stock shocks are oil filible

its still bouncing, not because shock its not good, but because your car weight its too light.. every kind of shock you upgrade the shock result its always the same..

Agreed. They need an offroad style shock with holes in the pistons, but all you can find is touring car shocks that are much too firm. I actually got a good setup going but the oil all leaked out. Gave up.

did anyone else find the caps come off on these? because i filled ine up and after one run the caps came off and oil everywhere. i did put them on tight too, im going to glue them on from now cause fuck it lol.
