William Christopher was always Father Mulcahey during and after the show. What a voice, kind and careful personality, orator of words.

I was a reporter on the story. The film was thrown out, but I rescued it.

About 15 years after this, I saw a revival of the play The Odd Couple starring Jamie Farr and William Christopher. It was a great thrill to be so physically close to these actors I had admired for years.

I found out that Richard Hooker who wrote the book M*A*S*H was based on was an army surgeon during the Korean War.

the uploader says somewhere in this thread he was a reporter at the press conference and later rescued the film of the press conference from the trash

I watched the original movie, and loved it. I never watched the TV series. Was he in both ? Sorry if that seems like a stupid question, but I am British and the series never really interested me here (although it was available).

the character Father Mulcahy was in the movie but Gary Burghoff was the only actor to appear in both the movie and tv series, playing Radar in both

The late great George "G" Wood as "General Hammond" and the late great Rene Auberjonois as "Father Mulcahy" were alongside Gary Burghoff the only Actors to appear in both The Movie and The Sitcom IIRC.🤔🎤👨⚕️👩⚕️🎥📺B.W.
