WM McNeilus Rear Loader Chewin' Bulk Trash

(Maricopa, Arizona) - Back in Maricopa, this time around was when uncontained trash was scheduled to be picked up. A variety of different trucks have been used during each pickup period, this time having four trucks (2 FELs & 2 RELs) in the same vicinity. This unit in particular traveled from the Tucson area's yard, all to way to Maricopa to help out. You'll notice the throttle advance needs some tweaking, as the packer didn't have enough force to sweep up the material swiftly like it should, resulting in the truck stalling while we were out there. Nonetheless, hats off, and thank you to this extremely friendly crew for allowing us to document this truck, and also Christian for allowing me to tag along.

+Boom Trucks Recycling Productions Thank you! I'm not sure why they do not, maybe because WM requires two operators per truck to load for manual collection versus a loader.

I wish I could run hopper without a pinch point button it’s faster if you don’t have to stand holding two buttons for the sweep cycle

+matt trains He put it back in the resident's driveway as it contained a battery which is considered hazardous and the residents forgot to take it out prior to uncontained trash being picked up. Thank you for the comment!

Good job guys but it didn’t sound like the high idle was working at all pack better loads and hopper works faster also pack more on your trucks guys if you ran the hopper more (less in it) and why not get closer so your not walking back and forth so much

Nice video! Didn't know Tucson had a truck like this, seems like they've received some interesting trucks within the past few years. That cart tipper on the back was neat. I'm quite shocked at the amount of stuff people put out at these events. I go several years before having to call for a bulk pickup lol But I guess if it's an offered service that you don't have to call ahead and schedule, I'd probably look for some stuff to throw out just for the heck of it. 9:04 was awesome, seemed like the packer had a hard time getting through that stuff so it was neat to see the struggle. Is there another part to this? I saw that Otto across the street and definitely hope to see that get dumped :-)

+WMmaster626 Thank you! I've been wanting to film a little more WM for ya. As for a second part, I do not but Christian has his version to upload, and will post the other unit that was in this area for bulk trash pickup, a Leach front loader with a dumpster style carry can. This unit is getting up in age for sure, first time seeing a rear loader without throttle advance haha

Guess we don't believe in recycling in this area? The residents wonder and complain when the landfill needs to expand. Now, why at 9:48 did the sanitation worker throw a perfectly good waste can into the hopper? Didn't look busted or anything remotely close?

They used too run similar macks by me but they're slowly pushing them out as they go to Pete cng mcneilus rear loaders which I have on my channel.

+nokia3750 WM of Chandler already pushed out all the Macks for new CNG Peterbilt side load and rear load trucks (to be used for Chandler collection) but that was back in like 2012-2013
