Art Carney was just magnificent! I'm so glad that his talents didn't go unrecognized during his lifetime. He still brings many laughs to people, today.

I remember watching him film a scene for Going in Style on Broadway in Astoria between 44th and 45th streets. There was a sizable crowd being kept at bay. When he came out the crowd cheered and he took the time to acknowledge the applause. A class act, a treasure and a joy. What a gift he is - still able to make us laugh all these years later.

I love how he gives them a "hold on, wait" motion even though they're blind-folded and can't see him! lol He was an awesome actor.

This is so beautiful. The elegance of that era. And as much as i have loved The Honeymooners, for 40-something years, i don't think i've ever heard Mr. Carney's natural speaking voice. Only _Ed Norton._ One of the greatest characters in entertainment history. Man, i love this stuff.

Mr. J. C. Daly was always opposed to guests 'performing' on his austere program, always to Mrs. Francis's chagrin...except, apparently, when someone was doing an impression of him.

Can anyone think of another WML guest panelist from the 1950s that is still living besides Joan Collins??? I can't. From the 1960s - yes but 50s no.

My appreciation of Art Carney is hampered by the fact that The Honeymooners is loud and unfunny. Or rather, Jackie Gleason is, which comes to the same thing.

Perhaps this opinion is six years too late...BUT....You obviously are a humourless boor unable to appreciatea very lively and funny 1950's television show. So there...….
