I wish the writers would at least try them out. Two episodes are fine. Jesus, the writers aren’t scared to kill off major characters, but they’re petrified to try out new ships.

@Millie Levenson Exactly my point. I think Jug and Veronica have a lot in common than it seems and they would work as a couple. My hope is that now that Cole and Lili are no longer a couple in real life, writers will give Vughead a shot in Season 5.

Veronica and Jughead together makes SO much better sense than "Bughead" nonsense (despite the actors' current pairing). Jughead and Veronica need an equally strong, levelheaded, passionate -- with out the crazy -- relationship. Betty is both nuttso , obsessive, and blandly dispassionate with Jughead. Archie has just lost it, become obsessively mired in a sado-machoistic world of his own making. Neither of which can uphold a sane relationship at this point.
