Love Lobo. Disagree on her take. If Lobo saw her son coached by sides in this fashion , she would go NUCLEAR. She also knows it’s not just a matter of “ saying” take more shots.

Lobo is right though. I don't like when Caitlin drives to the basket and either kicks the ball out to a teammate or she continues to dribble under the basket to the other side of the court. Those are shots and layups that Caitlin should always look to take.

This seems to be an obvious situation.. maybe CC brought so much attention to this league that now owners, administrators and coaches are inadequate in their position.. they ran along smoothly with poor attendance and bully ball and any change is resisted??

Bingo. And when she is open they are too happy to not pass her the ball including taking 2 point shots or passing to someone posting. The Fever are going to lose a lot until they start putting up some serious 3 point numbers. You can't win against good teams with a lot of pound the ball inside play. That approach is 3 decades old. Lobo is not diagnosing the problem correctly. The Fever have an offensive scheme and players that are not playing to win in today's game. CC just can't shoot for the sake of shooting. The offensive set needs to be designed to get her shots.

CC said she try’s to take what the defense gives her.. passes when she’s doubled to create a better opportunity for her teammates in 4 on 3 situations.. to force 15 shots a game for the sake shooting is insane..her teammates rarely hit her when she’s open and she too smart to just throw up shots to hit an arbitrary number.. that’s a real loose loose..

Christie Sides is being disingenuous. She is the one who is throttling Clark and not playing her to her best potential. I do not for one minute think this is Clark's strategy. Sides is deflecting the blame onto Clark to cover her poor coaching. Sides is incompetent and needs to go.

Caitlin was doing what Coach Sides had told her. To pass the ball into the post. Now that those players aren't making baskets. Sides shifts and says Clark needs to shoot more.

You are saying that if CC takes 3 more shots per game, the Fever will get on a roll? That is crazy analysis. The comment below mine is absolutely correct. Sides told CC to pass more. Now she wants her to shoot more. All Sides is doing is placing a ton of doubt in CC's mind. The other teams are double and sometimes triple guarding CC. If her teammates don't help get her free, she will never get good enough looks at the basket to shoot high percentage shots. So, I don't know who Lobo is, but I'll bet she was doing someone a favor when she stuck her nose into this mess. I don't trust her any more than I trust all the wild crazy players taking a shot at CC.

Sides needs to make up her damn mind. First is don’t take shots now it is take 15 shots. Trouble is most times if CC passes ball to team for creating plays they don’t get it back to her to take those shots and Sides doesn’t enforce the others to run plays for CC to take these shots. Fire her and toss any teammates that are not running plays to benefit the team

Most of her turnovers are due to teammates not catching her passes. The rules should reflect on the player who clearly misses a catchable pass-- that should result in more caught passes. A note: Caitlin Clark is CC NOT KC (which is Kansas City)😊

This is bullshit because Caitlin is doing EXACTLY what Christie Sides is telling her to do. She passing 1) because opposing defenses are hammering down on here and, 2) because Coach Sides is telling her to so cause she knows she's d*** good at it and because she wants Smith, Wheeler, Mitchell and Boston to share the scoring responsibility. Now, all of a sudden, Sides is blaming Caitlin for not shooting enough..........SHE'S DOING WHAT YOU'RE TELLING HER TO DO, COACH!!!! I had great respect for Lobo till this year. I have little now of her saying what she said times at beginning of this WNBA season 2024. She was another hater of Clark. What is being said her of what she said is just another example. Sides made it clear at the beginning of the year and in the second month, till she was being told to be fired. Side stated at beginning she wanted Clark to shoot long 2s and get her team involved with her passing. It has been shown Sides whipping up plays for Mitchell, Smith, and Boston to be taking more inside, in the paint and shot shots having Clark feed them the ball, and using Clark long range shooting, double teamed, leaving around the goal more open. Proof would be the last game with Chicago Sky, final play Clark throwing in the ball to have Boston make the last shot. Right, Boston of the night like Mitchell and Smith hitting a third of their shots where Clark was hitting like 5 out of 9 shots. Right, Clark had only 9 shots remembering right. Sides is holding back Clark not shooting more. My concern on Lobo now can just sit there and not talk about Clark or anything.

I would do a clear out for Clark. Let her go one on one more. Coaches are hard headed with plays. Some do not like special plays. They overuse pick and roll. Variety is the spice of life and play book. Go coach. You can do it. Jf

That is not her game. She is being double teamed every time she crosses half court. she is more in the mold of Sue Bird or Lindsay Whalen both great WNBA players and legends. This team is just not good right now. They need time. Best of luck to the Fever.

Shoot more but there seems to be a little jealousy amongst Caitlin’s team because they think she is taking all the glory and leaving little or none for the rest, Caitlin is struggling with the idea of wanting to be a good team mate or to try to make this team a winner this is the job of the coaches to layout a plan to satisfy everyone involved that is a large part of job as a coach. Ownership needs to set the coaches straight with priorities what are they

I like Ms. Clark but don't care at all for basketball, especially the wnba. I'd tell her to just quit and do something else with her college degree but I understand she loves the game too much to do that. Hope she has some good endorsements to make money that way because I know wnba salaries are not much because the league operates in the RED and is subsidized by another business.....the nba. Economics 101, gotta sell what you are hoping folks will buy, but most of those angry players with bad attitudes and hate for Ms. Clark do NOT understand that.
