I'm glad that Clark is bringing in viewers. It is good for the sport. Women's basketball is actually good to watch. I've become a fan of the college women's game and the WNBA. The problem early on is that many fans who were just about Caitlin Clark weren't invested in the game while Clark was struggling and the Fever were losing. Now that they have made some progress, it seems like people are genuinely invested. I'd love to see the WNBA succeed, and Clark absolutely can help that happen. As long as her fans don't dump on the league when her team struggles ... which we saw early in the year. I really hope the Fever make the playoffs. I think that'd be great for the sport.

ngl, Clark is awesome, and brought a lot of well deserved attention to the WNBA this year. But nobody mentions in the numbers how Clark is a good team player. Her team is aware that she draws a lot of attention on the court from the other team's defenders, double and sometimes triple teaming her, and the Fever are starting to build offensive plays that take advantage of this. I loved to see Boston continue to shine under the hoop, even stepping out and taking 3 pointers, and as usual Mitchell is a superstar in her own right. Great to see the team developing more screen plays to create space for their point guards to get a clear shot. And we all profit, with excellent BBall! Are you not entertained??? :-)
@benjaminsmith2287
@benjaminsmith2287 9 күн бұрын
The most outstanding aspect of Caitlin Clark's game, IMO, is her court vision and passing. She does seem to want to involve everyone in the offense even if she's looking to Boston most of the time. Her scoring is only part of her game. And she rebounds well, is a good shot blocker for a guard and can get steals. Of course she has to work a lot on her game but a lot of it is already impressive.

Expansions coming as well... they can say what they want but eventually they will see what she has done and will do to the league. @@thomasnguyen3925 Nothing will change until theses jealous and petty, back-biting bitches, both players and coaches, accept they are the ones responsible for the league's absolute and abject failure to this point. Since you are new I will catch you up a little. The WNBA is owned by the NBA and fully subsided by the men to a tune of over $10 million a year and in their best year the W lost $6 million. Too many of the players and coaches are jealous of Caitlin's skill, her records and her $27 million Nike deal. When I first started watching Caitlin play I said she is the first women I ever saw who was good enough to play with men. Did you know Ice Cube offered her $5 million to play in the Big Three? If they had all embraced Caitlin for being the golden goose transformational player she is, they could have all benefited from her popularity and ridden in the wake of her meteoric rise...but noooo. Instead, they do what they have always done, they eat their own young as evidenced by their jealous attitudes, catty remarks, dirty play against her and leaving her off the Olympic roster. Not all, but far too many of them are a total f@cking disgrace.

Glad to see CC playing within the offense this game and not disrupting the flow of Boston or Mitchell. Team chemistry seems to be surprisingly very high right now. Teammates are trusting each other to make plays and not just playing inefficient hero ball. Not a lot of unnecessary dribbling. Even though she had 6 TO’s, CC did a good job today of getting rid of the basketball quickly at halfcourt and setting up her teammates to score more easily. Now other teams have to constantly figure out which player on Fever will have the ball in their hands. Fever offense is less predictable these past few games. Which is a great step in the right direction.

@jennahawk12
@jennahawk12 9 күн бұрын
I disagree. I think she scores actually more points when they get their other players involved. When the other players are not involved offensively, then that just means the defense is going to double and triple team her. When Boston and Mitchell or Smith are having particularly good games, the defense can't help off on her as much. It opens up a lot of room for her to do great work, especially with the assists and getting layups that she is more used to. She still got a couple threes this game, and they were a few feet behind the line coming off screens. I think that's where she's going to excel. If she's "feeling it" and wants to shoot a near half courter once a game, that's ok, given the score. She's only been playing a half season and she's already gotten so much more intelligent with shit selection. I appreciate that about her!
