But the dichterische freiheit is even acknowledged by teachers, so you can literally shift words in sentences around and create a new order. I dont think that you are bound to boredness in german, but you can do whatever you want.

Germans, particularly the Prussians (because, in all seriousness, Prussia was the strangest of all the German states) had this particular ability to have the right words for a march and somehow know how many words to use in said march. Some don't use words for they are for maneuvers, others are like this, which have very little lyrics but they are good enough to get things across.
