A new dark fantasy Three Kingdoms action RPG from Team NINJA, the developers of Nioh.
184 AD, Later Han Dynasty China. The land is overcome by chaos and destruction. The imperial dynasty that prospered for many years is now about to collapse.

"Cheng Pu requested a duel." Like hell he did, dude showed up with his two buddies like he was the reincarnation of the gank squad boss from DS2's Sunken King DLC. This mission was harder than every other boss in the game, including Lu Bu. Recommended level 53 my ass.

Well it did mention other soldiers gathering for a piece of the action, which admittedly could be interpreted as 'wanting to watch the duel'. The second paragraph did mention 'Cheng Pu and the soldiers' which does imply more than one combatant, only the way it was worded imples Cheng Pu plus some regular soldiers instead of all three Sun clan retainers.

I finished this 3 on 1 mission using a cheesy strat that I wanted to share for those struggling. If you run around the perimeter of the map there are a couple of choke points you can kite them into, then set a trap spell (frozen spear trap, imposing slab, etc.). It takes forever, but eventually you’ll be down to 1 and can fight fairly

This fight was pretty brutal. What I found that worked for me was to kite the dual blade around the rocks to fight him alone since he moves the fastest and seems to be the most aggressive.

This is exactly what I did running a wood/water build. Lost my shit every time I got pelted with bombs and arrows. It only took me a few tries of running around in big circles across the map, but was still infuriating. Felt like I had to resort to cheap tactics... I mean 3v1 is a cheap tactic so fuck em.

Disabling the auto lock on when melee in the game settings helps a ton in the this fight.. I did a respec and dumped everything into lightning and used lightning rush and barbed nightmare they made the fight a lot easier as the barbed nightmare does massive damage to them..Plus lightning in the rain makes sense damage wise…I couldn’t beat them with any other builds and I finally tried thus build after 6 hours total of dying over 3 days 2 hours a day.. I hope this helps anyone struggling with these buttholes

I think the worst Nioh ever did was two man duels, but those two man duels were really nasty. Tachibana+Honda and Nobunaga+Yuki Onna comes to mind. Nioh 2 also had Honda+Hanzo. Comparatively, the only two man duel we've seen so far in Wo Long (Sun Ce+Sun Jian) wasn't too bad as you don't start out fighting both at once.

Ahh I've been waiting for this video 😆 Yeah, the feeling of overwhelming BS is universally shared lol For anyone else stuck or avoiding this mission, what I did was focus entirely on deflecting to build my spirit then hit em with an empowered spirit attack. A spirit attack with high spirit and a two handed weapon gives you hyper armor and wipe sweep to hit these three goons AND smash their spirit, leaving them open. Couple this with restore vitality and you can pile drive these butt buddies into the mud

@@greybushgames1 took me about 2 hours, block and deflect instead of just deflecting. This is the same method I used to beat Lu Bu after he spanked me over 7 times. If you miss the deflect you can always block till they slow up and or fall back for some breathing room.

After about three hours I did it! My trick was to keep moving back, dodging and parrying constantly, waiting for a red to parry then strong attacking. On the one where I won I managed to get one of the guys when I killed the first stuck behind the logs in the corner by the flag making it a one on one with the other guy

I beat this level finally yesterday. The way I did it was to run to one end of the level get aggressive with the first enemy that got to me until the others show up and then break lock on run to the opposite end of the level, heal and buff with lightening weapon.

I was really struggling with this mission until I finally decided to give it a try with the auto lock on shut off. A few tries with the auto lock on disabled I finally beat the mission using the Swords of Aspiration from Lui Bei and the spear for Zhao Yun. I may be well over the recommended level by this point but I actually find it fun to go back and do the mission now without locking onto any of them and just deflecting attacks to practice the timing. Even though they can attack together you can deflect multiple enemies at the same time and it can end up in some wild chains of deflects and critical strikes. Even though you can only solo this mission I prefer it more than the one where you fight the three red phantom enemies but can summon support. The support on that mission just gets slapped and still don't have the deflect down for all of their attacks yet. It is definitely a bit stupid how often they resort to these multiple bosses per encounter though.

I went to the internet for help on this mission and some random site (forget which) told me to keep moving and block everything except the fatal attacks and fire bombs. Just move and block and only parry fatals and bombs (to stop the fire aoe). And wouldn't you know, I beat it right after with healing pots to spare. They individually have low spirit gauges, so two fatal parries breaks. Once one is down, any one of them, the fight gets 3x easier.

Yo I know a big workaround to beat them, no cheese required. Hold block and parry instead of just parrying and when you see an opening attack or use the stone spell that puts heavy on enemies after a deflect and wait till their spirit breaks to grab them.

I needed dragon cure powders to get the tigers loyal subjects done.. on part 3Shadow of the sacred mountain has a powder right at the start. Get a stack of 10 and have at it... oh lite armor too so dodging doesn't lower spirt gauge..

If you're mainly a melee build I have a strategy I just beat this garbage gank fight with: have them chase you back and then run towards that wooden structure and hop onto and off it; staying behind it. One of them will jump up and when they jump off you can pop a couple of hits in before running away to rinse and repeat. Hope this helps someone.

This mission is not only cheap trash, but is required if you’re going for the platinum trophy/all achievements. I suffered for 2 hours only to get mediocre 3 star equipment and I’m still mad days later 😂. Team Ninja should be ashamed.

I mean ngl the spells help but when you've got 3 fairly strong combatants ganking you I don't think it's the time for spamming spells that draw them Into you and make your spirit meter as high as possible. I get thatbits a wizardry build but would it not make sense to just use some other spells at a safe time qnd your deflect instead of spamming?

I managed to beat it on my 6th time just constantly deflecting. I didn’t have time to throw spells cause every time you do they rush and gank you. I got suuuper lucky because that should have took me hours

I tend to agree with your friends. This mission was indeed difficult, but overall I too felt the game as a whole wasn’t that bad. The bosses definitely lacked the difficulty that was seen in both Nioh titles.

Sun Jian being dead doesn't stop you from revisiting earlier missions where he's still alive. Its like how in Nioh 2 you can still duel Nobunaga after he dies in the story.

Wait til you get to NG+.. you have to have a specific build for this fight. A heavy weapon to do big damage with minimal attacks, decent armor and mobility. I do not have a build like that or the copper to make one, so I have to skip for now.

Centuries of Glory Burned Away mission has a weapon with the embedment. When you start the mission, run down the stairs, go straight, through the flames all the way to a dead end and it’s on a weapon to the right. Salvage the weapon to get the embedment.

@@datboileek9997 Is there a weapon with guaranteed lightning enchant somewhere? I have one in my inventory along with +Damage based on Lightning power, but can't remember where I got them. All I know is I got them before doing Darkness Over the Hanshui River.

@@Solthusx I have a white cudgel staff that came with lighting enchant, but I think it was RNG based. You can try farming an area or boss that rewards that weapon and seeing if it drops that particular affix( such as the monkey boss in Part 2, "Tale of Ghazi" or something like that).

Those people that are saying it was too easy are playing on PC using trainers, there is nothing easy about this game, right now you are fighting three characters that are the same strength as you and it seems as though hey wait until you start attacking and another one attacks you from the rear, level have nothing to do with this game, I’m level 116 and still can’t do this.

I beat them at level 50 on my first atttempt, I recommend flame weapon spells, use sword or dual sword and focus one at a time, but it depends on how good you are at deflecting, you should not miss a single red attack to end the fight quickly
