That isn't history. That is a personal observation based on the ignorant belief that the whiteman was the aggressor in all interactions with indians. This is a Hollywood song. Because nowhere do I hear anything about taking women and children as slaves, which the indians did. Nor do I hear about how they slaughtered each other over land and resources.

I really like "Infinite Dreams", the all spiritual message of the afterlife and reincarnation is something i hold dear. "There's got to be Just more to it than this Or tell me, why do we exist? I'd like to think that when I die I'd get a chance, another time And to return and live again Reincarnate, play the game Again and again and again and again"

How amazingly far has Amber come in appreciating Heavy Metal? Never thought I would see the day where Amber liked a heavy metal song before Jay did! Some of the best lyrics in Heavy Metal are from Iron Maiden. Far more original themes than most metal. And I say this as a fan of the genre. I had a history teacher in highschool that would use Iron Madien lyrics in teaching, because their lyrics 95% of the time had an element of history in them. That was my favorite teacher. The great thing about him was, occasionally my friends and I would go to concerts, and sometimes we would see that teacher at a concert, he was cool, but he was a strict teacher when it came to being in class.

Just to clear the misconception the planes they were flying were leased and not owned by the band and Bruce is retired from piloting due to FAA regulations,as for 757 they used on Flight 666 not to sure what happened to that one,but 747 used on the Book of Souls tour, and if i do say so,was the fricken coolest looking 747 ever to fly the skies,i'm sad to say has been offically retired. And what is more saddening , is that Boeing has ceased production of the 747 earlier this year.I was in tears when i watch the video of delivery of the last 747 to roll off the production line.As sixties scoop baby up here in Canada i was very blessed and fortunate that my adoptive parents took me to the Netherlands back in 77 when i was young child of ten years old,it was 747 for our flight.Best dang childhood memory! Definitely a top 3 Iron Maiden song, right after "Number Of The Beast" and "The Trooper"... with "2 Minutes To Midnight" and "Aces High" coming in right behind and I mean NO DAYLIGHT between #2-4 ! And their epic "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" is unbelievably good for a 13 minute song ! The imagery in that and many of Iron Maiden's songs is fire ! Not just lyrically but musically. In fact Steve Harris said of this song "I wanted to try and get the feeling of galloping horses." That applies equally well to "The Trooper" too.

Tanisi nitisani ekosani nisim, as a Cree this song hits home with me. The lyrics hold a lot of meaning. I can remember, in grade school, not being allowed to speak our language or talk about our beliefs. Iron Maiden brings so many subjects to life, especially history

This song is now a bittersweet memory for me. One of my best friends from high school killed themselves (over a decade ago now), but this was one of his favourite songs. I have such great memories of him rocking out in the car to this ❤ man, do I miss him.

This one pairs up nicely with Indians by Anthrax, a band you've not likely done, but one of the Big 4 metal bands. They're from NYC, and were doing their own thing while Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer were in California. They were a cool, fun band. Their singer Joey Belladonna was Native American.

Thank you, Jay! I was about to reach through the screen! LMAO Kidding, of course. I love Maiden. Between the dualing lead guitars, the bassist whipping through those notes, the non-stop drums and the sick Bruce vocals, daaaaaaang! Yeah, baby! I request The Trooper! ROCK ON! 🤘🤘🤘

I saw Iron Maiden the first time in 1982 on TNOTB Tour opening up for Judas Priest. 2 tickets first level $18.50. Saw them again on their Piece Of Mind tour.. headlining. I got off the IM bandwagon after I discovered Thrash Metal with Metallica, Megadeth and Mercyful Fate. (which you need to listen to if you like musicianship). But the Number Of The Beast is Iron Maiden's apex (for me) and this song brings back so many memories. Where Eagles Dare is another great early 80's Maiden classic if you love drums.

Thank you for reacting to my absolute favourite band of all time, guys!! They have so much great songs, a catalog full of metal classics. The best thing is that they are still together making music and filling up stadiums around the world. For a more recent take on their stuff, I recommend “The Writing On The Wall” released on 2021.

So many great songs - “Hallowed be thy name”, “fear of the dark”, “blood brothers”, “flight of Icarus”, “rhyme of the ancient mariner”, “aces high”, “can I play with madness”, “pachendale” (a personal favorite), and dozens more. Also, check out Queensryche “take hold of the flame” (live in Japan 1984)

When I was fifteen, chilling in my room listening to B-52's, Talking Heads, Human League or Kraftwerk, my younger brother was next door blasting this or something similar, maybe Motorhead or Dio. My brother passed over twenty years ago and I haven't listened this group since until today. I'm stting here smiling, so thanks for that.

Wow, you guys are discovering Iron Maiden almost exactly as I did - my first song was The Trooper on a Canadian metal compilation, then Run To The Hills on a follow-up to the compilation, and finally I heard Aces High, which prompted me to buy the album Powerslave, and it just went from there. But those three songs started it all for me, and seemingly for you too! You're in a for a GREAT RIDE!

Their big songs are Hallowed be thy name, Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Phantom of the Opera ( this last one is from their debut album with Paul Di Anno in vocals ) . But they have tens of great songs . My favourite are Phantom of the Opera, Revelations , Flight of Icarus, Fear of the Dark . You have to do the live versions cause Maiden are incredible live. Epic, they combine history and literature as one friend already said and they have a distinguised sound that has the awesome bass of Steve Harris, the "Galloping" rhythm that is their trademark and the harmonised double guitars of Dave Murray and Adrian Smith both solo and rhythm players . One of the best for almost 50 years now.

I've been watching reaction videos for years now, and from all those I subscribe to, you guys are my favourites. Iron Maiden are my favourite band. I've met 2 of their 3 lead singers (Bruce Dickinson and Blaze Bayley). I would love to see you react to one of their more lesser known and underrated songs, Wasting Love. It is a very divisive song amongst the fans, but I love it. It's about the closest they've done to a rock ballad! I also think you would love it. Cheers, Phil from England.
