Hey guys! So I have heard of Pretty Little Thing in passing but I didn’t/don’t know much about the brand which makes this calendar even more surprising! I just came across this in my calendar search and for $55 (Just $10 more than Sephora) I think this was a pretty good calendar! What did you think? Let me know! Love ya!

I imagine the reason this calendar felt like it went quickly is because you didn't have to stop and yell at every day for how cheap and bad it was lol

This is probably the biggest bang for your buck advent calendar you've ever done... and most of it was stuff people would actively use while ALSO not being repetitive! Take notes sephora!

Fun fact: a podcast called Endless Thread did an investigation and found out that the largest consumer of glitter is the boat paint industry! I think that they wanted to keep it under wraps so as not to damage the fragile boater masculinity

For a $55 calender, this was pretty solid! Lots of makeup for its price and it seems like they had alot of fun making it :) not a stunner by any means but an okay all rounder for sure!

I don't know if this is a really good advent calendar or if we're just so jaded by Sephora and the other makeup/beauty brands that it makes this one good.

I work at a doggy daycare (it’s a hard job. Super physical, not a lot of down time to pet and love on the dogs unless it’s a slower day, or you’re with the small dogs) and I can just FEEL those nails as Wren is digging at you for the treat 😂 we have a few Bostons that come in, and I always think of you and the boys when I see them

The glitter conspiracy sounds like something that would really terrify my 6 and 3 year old nieces. I can see them take it to the streets to protest the glitter monopoly. 😂

This is really nice for a $55 calender. Lots of relatively cheap but still good quality items, and pretty much every day has something you can actually use and get a "well that's neat" rather than disappointment 😄 Congrats on your wedding! Hey;; For olaplex nr3, the best way is to use it on towel dry hair in between your shampoo and conditioner, it needs to be rinsed out! You can also use it as a hair mask before washing your hair, leaving it for 45min to 1h. It won’t leave your hair sticky and it does show results pretty much instantly!! But great vids, I love your advent calendars openings

The only thing I know about Pretty Little Things is a pair of black fuzzy slides that I found at goodwill in perfect condition. Quite literally had the stickers on the bottom intact. They were cute and I needed new house shoes so I brought them home. They fart with every step 😭😭 I see why they were donated immediately after purchase. I still wear them, I just toot around the house now 😂😂

I just recently found your channel and I've been catching up on multiple years worth of advent calendar unboxings. Every time you talk about the last day being the best (which it should be) it just makes me wonder, am I the only one that was taught to count down, not up with advent calendars? My mom always said it was a "count down to christmas" so we'd start by opening the "last day", and work our way down the numbers towards day one. Is that just me? It just seems like a lot of the day one items are better or potentially the best, so I wonder if this is what the calendar makers are assuming people do? Idk. Just my thoughts. Anyone else have an opinion on this? Lol.

Carmex was big in the 80’s it came in a white glass jar with a yellow lid. It was medicated. Later came the sticks.😊

Wow! This might be an advent calendar I purchase! Way better than all the others I’ve seen you unbox (and I think I’ve seen them all). The lashes actually look flattering instead of bushy. And the colors for the makeup are neutral but slightly edgy. *side bar: I feel as though you are a kindred spirit. I, too, drink a midnight coffee and I, too, have no problem falling asleep (so the bubble bath product is a waste for me)

Would love to see pics, as well as an itemized list of what makeup you ended up using (heaven knows you've tried it all so you probably know which ones are the best) and of course the final makeup look! I swear if you made a wedding day GWRM video (no pressure) it would get so many views! Hope everything runs smoothly... or as smoothly as can be (because let's be real, there are no weddings where *everything* runs smoothly). EDIT TO ADD: I used Olaplex #3 as a fellow nearly-hairless lady (androgenic alopecia), and it's amaaaazing! My mom (the unfortunate soul I inherited my hair from) swears by it too! What I do is once a week massage it through my hair like leave-in conditioner, except all the way down to the scalp too. Then I do my morning workout or have breakfast or anything that takes about a half hour to an hour, then take a post-workout shower where I wash it out and shampoo and condition like normal. Enjoy! EDIT #2: OK another totally random thing we have in common.... what the heck? I'm also capable of falling asleep anytime, anywhere... for better or for worse. Not literally narcoleptic but pretty darn close lol. This definitely helped when I was travelling a lot in my 20s and needed to be able to sleep anywhere... (lol I'm saying "my 20s" like I'm some old fogey when in actual fact my 20s were like 2 years ago but I'm actually a grandma in a young person's body) EDIT #3: Liquid bronzer is amazing... as contour. I hate using it as actual bronzer but as contour it's the best! So easy to blend, but a little goes a surprisingly long way. Also my dad has the same tub of carmex probably since the 1970s (he's who I get the ADHD from so wouldn't be surprised) EDIT #4: Coconut oil... great if you have dry skin. If you have acne prone skin, it's comedogenic so be careful. I love to use it on, I know it's so random, but my elbows when they get dry, or on my body as tanning oil over sunscreen after the sunscreen is done absorbing. I used to put it on bare skin before going out at night when I was showing a lot of skin (an increasingly rare occurrence given I'm a married woman in my 30s...barely in my 30s, but still, I'm always looking for excuses to hide inside a giant sweater and this is a pretty good one) EDIT #5: Ok, that's it. This is first advent calendar you've ever unboxed where I was like "wow, I need to buy this like, immediately." Great stuff, full-sized items, not super expensive.....I am going to have a hard time avoiding buying it because I don't need any of the stuff in there but I definitely want it.... EDIT #6: Well of course they have gua shas... highest profit margin item in existence.

I'm from Canada and we don't receive any of those free samples anymore. Used to be the time when we would find a tiny box of laundry soap, a little box of cereal, a tiny bottle of shampoo and conditioner hanging over our doorknob. We don't even get the little packages in our mail anymore. I absolutely loved receiving free samples in the mail it was so exciting. Do I ever miss that.

honestly the carmex chapsticks like the one you got are the only ones i use. they are great. the holiday packs are my fave as far as the scents. things like plum and sugar cookie.

Great video! Regarding the coconut oil, I have 2 jars I got at the organic section of my supermarket. It’s 100% pure, no additives. One of them is in the kitchen, I use for baking. The other one it’s in the bathroom, I use it post bikini wax, due to its antibacterial, anti fungal, and calming properties. I’ve been using for 2 years, never had a problem!

Congratulations on the wedding! I saw you asked about the Olaplex. Number 3 is a treatment. You leave it in for 10 minutes and rinse it out. It does get super sticky if you leave it in too long. I usually put it in my hair at the start of my shower then rinse it at the end. I hope that helps! Enjoy your special day and I hope you make many beautiful memories!
