Whitney, I don't always have a creative eye. I've done great personalized etched glass plates, but I've skipped over most of the glasses, because they seemed too small! It NEVER entered my mind that I could personalize sideways! I loved your champagne flutes so much! Triple thanks. I also love those whiskey glasses, but the shape seemed problematic. You showed me that I should never skip those glasses again.

I don't even own a Cricut yet, but I am looking to buy one soon, so your videos are going to be a lifesaver. I have absolutely NO idea what I'm getting myself into because using a Cricut sounds kind of complicated. 😂 Also, you're able to turn someone's handwriting into a vinyl? I lost my Mom in November, the week before Thanksgiving, and it has been hell on me. I have a letter that she wrote me many, many years ago. The words are kind of faded, but I would LOVE to use that letter to make a vinyl of her handwriting. I plan on using the same letter as a tattoo stencil, but it will be awhile before I'm able to do that. Would using that letter ruin it? That's my only concern. I don't want to lose a single thing that she gave me because she was my best friend, and losing her has shattered my whole world.

Great video Whitney. So many awesome ideas. I have a circuit explore 2 and just got the joy xtra for Easter. I love working with my larger machine but sometimes it isn’t worth the time to set it up to cut something really small. Now with my joy xtra I can do smaller projects. Way to go Whitney, I did the idea of the coloring pages. I used the 5 by 7 flat canvas boards. We did a road trip with the grandkids. They loved coloring thoes in the car. I just did in cricut designs space. Search coloring pages, then whatever category you are interested in. Worked beautifully. I love your ideas. Addresses the envelopes I'm trying next. Thanks❤

I've given t shirts and travel mugs for gifts to my million nephews and two nieces and they have been really happy with them. Have you tried using ink or paint to darken etching? I’ve seen it somewhere and I can’t remember where. Also, I think you could get a cool effect if you etched two parts of a design on either side of a clear plate- it might add some cool depth for a decorative piece.

I have the original maker and select “washi paper” when using the dollar tree vinyl. It works really well for light use items. I don’t really think it would hold up for long term or heavy use items. It’s great for learning on though.

My google images have been turning into really rough looking cut files when I save them and then upload them in design space. I use the complex setting and remove all the background with the wand; any suggestions?

How about when you are printing out the envelopes instead of a shape basic you use guide. it does not print out so you don’t have to take the blade out
