I like your positive energy. You don't have the funds (yet) for your own workshop but you are building your dream with what you have available. That is inspiring to anyone who is trying to live out a dream. Shop looks great.

Looking forward to the reveal! As a bit of perspective on how the grass is always greener, though, I think you're better off with a shop away from home. A detached garage gets a lot of pressure from the family to be, well, a garage. I really envy your shipping container shop, tbh. Thanks for inviting us in, and best wishes!

Inspirational. I had to go through the same process. I found that a large shop just let me collect stuff. When I cut my shop space in half, that was the beginning of becoming a better woodworker because I had to make deliberate choices of what I would and would not use and really treat my available space as a commodity to be carefully guarded.

No question here, just to say my bet is that you will look back in 2 years at this video and see how far you have gone. My prediction is, with your work ethic and your production level of your video and woodworking you will have a million subscribers. Once that happens you will buy a home and build your dream shop on site. I believe this will come true. Go get it Ben!

Awesome videos. I’ve been trying to find an economical solution for a shop since funds are tight. You Made me realize I’m not patient or creative enough to use a shipping container for a shop! But I am inspired by your energy and willingness to work with what you have! Good job and thanks for sharing.

nice video. .one thing to consider for more storage, if you have a permanent parking spot outside the shipping container you could look at buying a really cheap run down cube truck with a lockable box and keep all your wood and other materials in the back and leave it beside the container.

Pretty neat use of small space. Good job. I have a double garage, so about 3x the space and I cut my rails down to 25”. It’s just not necessary as you can always cut from the opposite side if need be. But I also have a track saw that I use for breaking down material.

Have you considered making a Paulk Compact Bench to set up just outside of your entry doors? I’ve made a few personalized variants of that bench for use with my tool trailer (which is roughly the same size as your container). I can’t tell you how nice it is to set up outside in the summer and not be stuck in a giant metal box. They’re easy to store and easy to set up.
